Years ago, (in the 90's) there was a Gay couple that lived nextdoor to my Mom - Hank and Joe adored her, and the feeling was mutual - They were always taking her places my Dad didn't want to go, and one year as a Christmas present, they treated her to an expensive dinner and to see Placido Domingo. She'd always wanted to see him, and so of course, she loved it. I'd not thought of that in a long time. Thanks for the reminder of kind and thoughtful friends and a good and happy memory!
Yes I feel Christmas began today for me-looking out into my cousins garden this afternoon,"it's a parkland"I said and she giggled-the sun was going down behind the trees-cakes and mince pies on stands,it was lovely-children and some relatives playing board games.Returning home another cousin and my godson walked in and the sitting room had been trashed by my darling dogs.I had stayed up last night until 3am steam cleaning downstairs, right through to my back passage ready for visitors this Christmas luckily-they are dog people x
Gorgeous! I needed that after the morning I've had. Christmas food shopping - ugh!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had our Christmas last night. Now we can relax and watch TV all day on the 25th.
ReplyDeleteSet You Tube to autoplay, and relax.
ReplyDeleteSomething wrong with my computer audio. Sounds like two or more tapes playing simultaneously, though by chance they do come together at end. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd the bells have a Mexican accent. Very strange.
DeleteWinter and the Yuletide are here!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and uplifting! x
ReplyDeleteThank you John, Happy Christmas xx
