Spanish Light In The Evening
This is my Spanish light bulb
It kind of pleases me
I like table lights
Like I enjoy occasional cushions
I have fifteen sofa cushions ( and only a two seater sofa)
( a few are hidden away for best)
I have just started embracing cushions the last couple of years - one stuffed behind my back does wonders to ward off the backache caused by being a short person in a big person's world! (couches are always too deep from front to back for my stubby legs)
I am, technically, of above average height but having short legs, I share your pain. Cushions are definitely the way forward, and I have a lot of them, but they are not all out at once.
I have 15 tea-light candle jars that sit around my room. I light all of them in the evening. I'm thinking about getting some of those twinkling white Christmas lights to put around my window sills. Soft lights in the evening is so soothing. Enjoy your cushions and never let anyone tell you that you have too many.
I had a lot more cushions but whenever the fancy took him my top dog attacked them and it got a bit messy.I tend to have a few pillows now on the sofa in the untidy sitting room that me and the dogs use and I find them more comfortable.I have a tiddier sitting room where I have placed better cushions but even they have been nibbled by my top dog - bless him x
I wish you wouldn't remove posts like you do--it is your blog and your thoughts and feeling are interesting, they have value.
OMG I counted--I have 11 throw pillows! My explanation is I have two large sofas and a big chair for them, but still. And yes my little pug throws them on the floor plus the sofa seat and back cushions too.
Totally agree about the post removal. It's John's life and world. People should mind their own business. He shares what he wants. I don't care if he has 14 bull dogs, 99 pillows or 26 overseas trips a year.
It's all about how he tells his story. If you don't like his version, stop following his blog.
Most of our lamps were inherited from parents or one dear friend, one that is beloved I bought for my sewing room, and one was the chandelier in our first home that has hung in each of our successive homes. It, too, is beloved. Let there be light!
Lovely ambient light John, I'm short as well so I need the cushions for my back, my old dog needs a hand up to get on the couch and before I get a chance to sit down he's got most of the cushions on the floor so I always have to try and beat him to my spot.
I thought it was just ladies of a certain age who had too many cushions.

ReplyDeleteLive to the fullest, rotate those cushions!
Haha ... best, when you have dogs like John and me, is simply hair-free and pretty. Day to day is suitable for doggy AND human use 🤣🤣
Deleteand those are the ones winnie kicks to the floor!

ReplyDeleteI am the opposite way around with towels. Best ones on show and the ones we wipe our hands on are in the cupboard under the sink!
ReplyDeleteThis must be the uncontentious version.
ReplyDeleteYes, the first disappeared

ReplyDeleteI enjoy hand blowing.
You have such a talent to do so x

How many are out of Winnie's reach?

ReplyDeleteCushions are my drug of choice. I could stop anytime....but I don't want to x
ReplyDeleteWe like lamps here in Kemp Castle. It's like Blackpool illuminations here in the middle of winter
ReplyDeleteI also love table lights. And Patricia Cornwell. And scatter pillows, which I don’t have to protect from Winnie.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha you are me,
ReplyDeleteI have seventeen cushions in a two seater!
And I love that light!
XoXo
Nice gentle light John - and yes I love cushions too.
