Wall

Ive been asked ( by two readers) to explain the "art" wall in the kitchen
It grew as a result of my hubby taking the original art with him when he went ( a lovely limited print of a fox running towards a Welsh country Church) .
I wanted to fill the void

  1. Lovely...great to view up close and hear the stories behind your treasures. I especially like the terriers of Trelawnyd and Ben's sketch, which is beautifully drawn.

    So personal and lovely.

I must admit that I covet that fat pony. I have a fat-bellied terra cotta horse that is older than I am, bought in Mexico by my parents circa 1955 or so....

  24. I think you should have one of my Scotch Egg ones in the wall display. The dog one is called "The dogs take John for a Walk".

That's my favourite too. It draws the eye out across the sea towards the horizon. So tranquil.

  27. An exceptional and personal collection. I love it. I loved Takashimaya’s department store when I was growing up. Used to go there all the time with my sister and bought many gifts there. She chose, I paid. Thanks for bringing back those sweet memories.

  28. Love your individual and eclectic arty collection. I don't think I have a favourite, they all have meaning. I don't have any 'real' art, I have pictures my daughter painted when she was younger, greetings cards, a photo of a soldier that my mum bought me ( no idea who he is, but I liked his face and I was skint at the time) my great grandmother's sampler and various other bits and pieces and every one has a little story. I do have 4 pictures taken from the programme, of Carlos Acosta that I want to frame, but I can't find anything suitable and there are no longer any picture framers around here.
I love to see things that mean something to the owner rather than soulless, mass produced prints.

  29. I like the wrapping paper graffitti, it's lovely that this is not a contrived collection but a falling together of things that have meaning to you and are fun. I bet they make you smile often.

  30. I love seeing art in people's homes as it tells us much about them. :)
We have friends that have a TON of art and they rotate it. You could do that with the postcards you received. A rotating wall of love and humor.
