Thank fuck for the internet!
In an hour or so's time I shall be sipping a grossly expensive cocktail with my Nu in The Atlantic Bar J Sheekey in Covent Garden, it's just around the corner from All About Eve at The Noel Coward Theatre
Tomorrow I had planned to catch up with some friends. One for lunch the other for dinner
The dinner one has just cancelled as she is not well which now leaves me dangling somewhat and at a loose end for tomorrow night.
Should I come home early was the question that came to mind.
I thought fuck it!
A ten minute troll through last minute . Com and I found myself a very cheap ticket to see
Everyone's Talking About Jamie
So after lunch tomorrow, I'm all alone in the big city
Hope your evening with Nu is a delight. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, phooey! Hope that's not an expletive in your part of the world. What a shame you dinner partner had to cancel and she is probably disappointed, too. Good alternate plan for tomorrow night and I hope those you happen to sit next to are pleasant. Enjoy!
Hugs!
Just looked up that show on the Internet (yes, thank God.) Wish it'd come here to America.
ReplyDeleteI hope you packed your conditioner dear.
ReplyDeleteUnleash yourself and leave your mark upon the city x
You go for it and have a bloody good time x sometimes the unexpected things turn out to be really good I hope so for you. Now go and get amongst that cocktail and you and Nu have a fabulous time x
ReplyDeletesay hi to Nu from all of us!
ReplyDeleteBe a little wild, okay, John? If you can. If a little wildness seems appropriate. If a little wildness looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteThose stairs from the subway up to convent garden just about did me in! Have a great time!

Go to Covent Garden and the café down the steps. They often have a String Quartet playing there. Have a glass of wine or a coffee and people watch whilst listening to the music. Bev x
ReplyDeleteThere's a fab restaurant in Covent Garden (on a corner, not sure that's helpful) that does a lovely Flat Iron steak (yes, that's what it's called!) with a garden salad reasonably priced for London. And you get a corner as you leave the restaurant. It was an eclectic experience for our night at the Waldorf! Won't bore you with the details of the rest of the night which was an experience I do NOT want to repeat! Have a fab time. Cheers. Cathy xxx
ReplyDeleteCORNET! NOT CORNER. FGS!!
ReplyDelete"Everyone's Talking About Jamie"...like stainless steel, The Arctic Monkeys and Gripple wire connectors - MADE IN SHEFFIELD!
ReplyDeleteHave fun.
ReplyDeleteI like the occasional freedom of being in a new place by myself, with the ability to choose completely what suits me. Mind you, I'm often too introverted to do what I'd do if I had company to bolster me. But even so, it's nice to THINK of the possibilities :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Enjoy the show and quality time with a fine person.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed Jamie. We saw it on the night England played in the world cup semi finals, so the theatre was half empty.
ReplyDeleteSo much culture!
ReplyDeleteNow, that poster got me intrigued.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a blast!
XoXo
What did you think of the show John? Saw it with John McCrea as Jamie and he was superb. My daughter has attended a Jamie dance class with Layton Williams but we haven't yet seen him in the show-think John is a hard act to follow in our eyes.
