Trelawnyd Is Now Ready For The Zombie Apocalypse , Trev's Bum Jab and Other Stories

The village Community Association has once again proved itself to be a robust body of souls by preparing the village for the next zombie apocalypse
Now when I say Zombie apocalypse I'm actually paraphrasing their official line which goes as follows

Community Resilience Plan
The Community Association Chair, Nick Taylor, handing over the new generators to the Community Council Chair and Chairs of the Village Hall Committees. This will enable the halls in Gwaenysgor and Trelawnyd to be used as public rest centres in times of power outage, and civil emergency. This contingency is part of the Community Council's Resilience Plan. https://www.gwaenysgorandtrelawnyd.org.uk/community-resilience-plan/
Now We all know what they mean by civil emergency don't we children?????
Yes............. ....zombies!!!!

Four zombies

Nick handing over the new generator

I'm just about to leave to complete my speed awareness course and it's a lovely day to be lectured at.
There's a funeral in the church today but I didn't quite manage to catch village elder Islwyn to see who it was. That was being buried .
I've yet managed to catch the head honcho of the Trelawnyd Women's Institute too. Apparently I've giving them a talk soon! So I must do that this weekend.
I'm still giving Old Trev his daily injections and have had to leave myself a note on Bluebell's dashboard reminding me to do so.
I gave Mrs D a lift into Prestatyn the other morning and had to explain to her what the dashboard note proclaiming " Trevs Bum Jab" meant

I'll post the final entries in the postcard Challenge later tonight. It will be late as I'm off to the theatre with a friend
But I will leave you with a big thank you
A thank you to an anonymous blog reader who I suspect lives in North Wales
Recently I have received several gifts from unknown readers for which I am ( totally) very very grateful for ( you know who you are) and today I received a package with a handcrafted bowl in it...
Quite, quite.. lovely
Thank you

A very good idea. Helps get us through January. We can be looking out for postcards during the rest of the year.

  11. OMG! Perhaps you could arrange for Daryl to come and do a talk on preparedness and weapon making in a zombie apocalypse. He'd have to stay at yours overnight obvs!

    What an entertaining post!

It raises the question in my mind: Do zombies know how to unplug generators?

Ta for the chuckle about "Trev's Bum Jab". I imagine Mrs. D got a chuckle, too.

    Lovely, lovely bowl!

    Hugs!

    2. John can't say how much I love you and appreciate you x ok we have never met except through your blog. We are both on painful journies letting those we love go. I don't go anywhere where I can see my ex and am very grateful to all the people who have come out of the woodwork lately to tell me of course they new he wasn't right for me and they new he was cheating on me. To all those friends apart from one I say a huge thank you and now please feel free to exit my life for ever. I still love my ex but I will work through it my own way in my own time as you will too. Let's believe together that we will get through this I hope I am not being presumptive but I feel your pain. I get myself tarted up as far as a woman of 62 can! And I go out and talk to people and have a larf!

  19. Remind the generator folks that they need to somehow stockpile the gasoline that the generators use, as gas stations cannot pump gas during power failures. [and also use them outdoors so everyone isn't asphyxiated] The lack of gasoline is one of the biggest probs both for cars and generators, after the apocalypse, in my case H Sandy in NY.

  20. I hope more thought has gone into the generators than did the one we have at work. It's only been used once, when I was on duty and the thing fills the entire building with fumes!

  27. The bowl is a beautiful gift and you are a worthy recipient for all you do to help others. Postcards from Somerset are non existent/abysmal, I'm ashamed to say, so have sent a virtual one via pm (I know, not in the spirit of the competition...just thought you'd love Olive, I do). Good to know precautions against the inevitable zombie apocalypse are being taken seriously in Trelawnyd.
