Thanks to you John for a brilliant idea which has given us as much enjoyment as I hope it has given you. Nobody, I'm sure, entered merely with a wish to win , we simply wanted to show you how much we all care and are thinking of you. What can you devise as the next brilliant wheeze? I , for one, can't wait.

  14. I am chuffed to bits to have won most boring card with my first entry and to appear in a few short lists. My scotch egg card was the first and I thought I stood a chance until better ones started appearing.

I am amazed that my snowdrops made the short list along with the dogs, cats and scotch eggs, that I had to remake as my first one fell apart in the post.

I am chuffed most of all to get a special mention for my "Walking Dead" card.

All the short listed cards are amazing as well as the winning ones. Well done to everyone that entered and to John for coming up with the idea. It has been such a lot of fun.

Cheers for the finalists and winners and ta for John who made this challenge delightful fun!

Now it will be interesting to see how you choose to display the postcards. Imagine: if you prop once card up on a wee easel every day, it will take you about 18 months to see each one again (math wizards, I estimated!). Isn't that astonishing?

    Hugs!

  42. The finalists in each section were great, I liked the two guys kissing best I must admit. And admit that I couldn’t find a decent, or indecent, postcard in Wellington. I obviously move in much too limited a circle!!

I like the idea of displaying them in a pile, so you turn one over each day. We’ve had Art calendars for the last few years and it’s quite exciting to see what pops up each morning.

By the way, is Mary’s ear improving? Poor girl, if it hurts, she’ll scratch it, and certainly won’t understand you trying to stop her.

  53. I am so pleased to have won the "sums up my home best" category! I live in a fishing village in the province of New Brunswick, Canada, not too far from the town of Shediac, the "Lobster Capital of the World" and home of the 90-ton World's Largest Lobster sculpture seen on the postcard. You can climb onto the sculpture and have your photo taken beside the lobster fisherman if you wish.

The last time l won anyfink was in 1982, a bottle of liefamilch (spelling?) for me disco dancin' to Shalimar, had probably had too much liefamilch before me entrance on the dancefloor.
