I feel a little let down today.
Deflated....a bit like a balloon ten days after Christmas
Slightly sagging, not pert.
Anyhow, enough already.
Today's postcards have been some of the best yet.....only a week to go before the deadline arrives!
Keep em coming
They have been a real tonic
I love that Scotch egg card!
ReplyDeleteMe too. It's brill. Lough out loud brill. Alas I can't put a name to my support lest I be zapped.
DeleteChin up, hun. You know it’ll get better.
ReplyDeleteBTW that girl with her panties around her ankles? Constant mood
XoXo
Follow you daily. Some days are just harder than others..people disappoint and uplift..just life.. Judy from Canada
ReplyDeleteThey are brilliant .... I love the first one, the chicken/scotch egg one and the knickers round the ankles. A great haul of postcards.
ReplyDeleteNot good when let down by people but, hey ho, it’s the way of the world I’m afraid. It’s usually their problem ! XXXX
"How some people change.
ReplyDeleteOnes you thought you knew...."
That's intriguing. I wonder who you were thinking about.
I am confused by that and some other comments that seem to refer to words that are not there. Perhaps the post was edited after first submission.
DeleteYou are right Andrew. John probably had second thoughts.
DeleteYeap..not a time for a moan
DeleteThat's a great collection. How are you going to chose? I like the handbag bulldog. So Les Dawson.

DeleteYou're right, great lot of postcards! Love the "you're almost as good as your dog" one, the Beatles, and, of course, "She lays a mean Scotch egg".
ReplyDeleteHave just been listening to The Traveling Wilbury's CDs and miss George all over again. Sigh.
Sorry someone let you down or disappointed you, but it's their problem and not yours. You be your wonderful, caring, helpful, kind, and funny self anyway.
Hugs!
You are wonderful. So is your postman.
ReplyDeleteA long walk with the dogs and a good nights sleep always help.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you feel deflated but look at all those lovely postcards today! I think this batch are among your best ones yet! :)
ReplyDeleteJust found this quote "Don't dwell on who let you down, cherish those who hold you up." It's okay to feel let down, we all do, but I for one don't have such a fan club as you, John Gray - and every one of them is desperately wanting to hold you up! Take heart, dear soul!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe scotch egg chicken is cracking me up - and the class of hyperactive French kids. Great bunch of cards today!
It's like a slap round the face with a wet flannel when people don't meet your expectations. Perhaps our expectations are set too high. I love the card of the bulldog with the bow and matching handbag.
ReplyDeletei think i had that happen to me once with a hula hoop. at least that was my excuse.
ReplyDeleteWe've got your back, Johno!
ReplyDeleteLove the scotch egg card, I saved the image.... frame it for the chicken coop? It's thanks to you John that I even know what a scotch egg is! Damn delicious too!
ReplyDeleteComing to the conclusion mine must be lost. Perhaps not a surprise when it was sent from a place called Desolation, although I have to add the word is a misnomer as our area is stunningly beautiful. Not to mention the post office may not understand postcards as the only place I could find one was in the charity shop. If it helps the temperature inside my house this am was 9 degrees C.
ReplyDeleteOh those are some goodies. So fun.

ReplyDeleteLove the postcards, hope you feel better spring just around the corner
ReplyDelete. . . . I must have been about 8 and I recall the elastic breaking in my knickers when waiting to leave on the Sunday School Outing bus to a Devon farm! Horrors and tears but fortunately I lived very close by and they waited for me while I went home and mum quickly handed me a new pair and I was still able to have a lovely afternoon on the farm!
ReplyDeleteYour postcards are certainly bringing back many memories!
Love the dog one today.
Great selection of cards! Judging will be a challenge. I love the "you're almost as good as your dog" card. My second card finally arrived two weeks after I mailed it!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have a great job choosing the winner John - they are all so good. Like the hens with the whisky bottle and the Scotch egg comment.
ReplyDeleteHasn't the postman cottoned on yet and sent you a card?
ReplyDeleteYin and Yang.....making the world go round. Takes us forever to 'see' this.
ReplyDeleteThe cards are simply incredible. What a collection to have, John.
Some great cards today, all good.
ReplyDeleteGood batch!
ReplyDeleteLove the card selection today especially the scotch egg one and the lovely almost as good as your dog one as well the joy and sorrow shared we are there for you John it's in the cards.
ReplyDeleteThe scotch egg chicken made me laugh. But since when do Scots drink? The very idea!
ReplyDeleteGood to know life is gay at Whitley Bay....
ReplyDeleteHugs.
ReplyDeleteSending a hug, and a kick up the arse of whatever disappointed you x
ReplyDeleteMight you need a large world map for your wall and put a pin in the location on each postmark ... perhaps with a string to the postcard that is pinned around the map perimeter? Would that be called "an instillation"?
ReplyDeleteJust musing ...
All the postcards are going on the wall of my new office.....I'm not sure I will be still living in my cottage after the divorce but I will put them all up and photograph them
DeleteGood idea! Hope you get to live exactly where you want to live.
DeleteHugs!
Several laughs today!
ReplyDeleteAnother good selection! We are a staid bunch here and there was nothing available that was nearly as good as some of the ones you have received.
ReplyDeleteHope tomorrow is better for you.
I love that card with the scruffy dog. If...
ReplyDeleteGreat batch of cards today. Posted my last entrants yesterday. Hope your spirits lift soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly normal to feel down after an up. Love the Scotch egg card !
ReplyDeleteHope today perks up. I wonder if the old expression from the State of Maine applies here... I’ve sent 2 postcards from Cuengirola to Trelawnyd. I wonder if “you can’t get there from here.”
