Fur Lined

I had arranged an evening date with a friend tonight but they mugged me off at the last minute
So, I've climbed into my long johns and have toasted thick white bread on the wood burner with my antique toasting fork.
Last night I walked the dogs in my long johns and my new ( libs!) fur lived crocs!
I couldn't be arsed if anyone saw me ( which they did) as from a distance I would have looked as though I was wearing skinny leggings !
Ok but ones with a fly?

What's your slobbing outfit?

An awful pair of ancient grey jogging bottoms and an even older threadbare hoodie.
They are always plastered in pet fur/hair and coupled with thick socks and crocs.
I sound a real catch! In my defence I have to be smart and formal all day so when I come home I need to slob.

Pyjamas! Oh what bliss to take off daytime clothes and get into pyjamas. Dressing gown if needed for letting the dog in the garden for his bedtime wee.
Oooh get you in your fancy crocs! Nothing wrong with long johns and fur lined crocs for dog walking!

  4. Shorts over the top of leggings and socks and slippers and elastic bands round my sleeves at the wrists because they are a bit loose and the elastic keeps the cold out and the warmth in. I just went to the door and a neighbour saw me when I handed him a parcel I had signed for for him.

  5. I've got this crazy long robe/sweater thing that is made of old sweaters sewn together. It's really warm because it's like wearing a thick blanket around. The woman who made it calls it an "upcycled" sweater. My kids mock me and call it "Mom's wizarding robe."

  6. Oh, John, my entire outfit must fit over my sneakers with the lift for my short leg. So, I must content myself with jeans, sneakers, wool socks. But as for shirts! I wear all kinds of warm and woolies. Recently I added a Carhartt fleece jacket to my collection. They have no idea I own one, but if you ever can, get one. A front zip hoodie! It will set you back, and it's worth skimping on vittles for a while to own it.

  7. A pair of warm yoga pants with a t-shirt and thick, warm socks that are almost like slippers. If it's really cold the t-shirt gets traded for a sweatshirt. Love those fur lined crocs you have!

  8. In this weather, thermal leggings and a thick sweater (I have a rotating selection of both). That said, I do still try to make sure the colours don't clash in case I have to open the front door and someone from the stuck-up family across sees me. (Not worried about anyone from the other 14 houses in the street looking down on me)

Howard lives in his cycling gear - not lycra, more on the looser, more protective mountain biking style. But even he has matching thermal leggings to wear underneath the shorts.

Its warming up in this partof the world and my favourite comfy and cool thing to wear is my husbands blue singlet that fits me like a dress

Yes very similar... in Australia a singlet is usually worn under a shirt and a vest over the shirt to add warmth

  14. Well considering it is snowing and blowing a gale here in S.Ontario, I bundle up these days. Macs with hand knit socks, not necessarily matching, fleece pajama pants, lined work gloves, my hubby's outgrown plaid lumberjack shirt with the fleece lining. Yep, I look like a proper northern bush woman. (If it's really bad, I wear a fur hat with ear flaps). The dog has a very stylish knit jacket though.

  15. Jeez, not Mac's, Wellies! My brain is frozen....

Sweat pants (no cuffs on ankles), sweatshirt, sweatshirt jacket, wool knee socks, fuzzy slippers and if it's really cold a long sleeve tee goes under the sweatshirt. If it's colder that that, I add a flannel quilt over, under, and around. It's all about being warm.

I'm cold natured so DH says I cannot be a reptile as I'm usually colder than my environment. :)

    Hugs!

    Oh here we go
Red tartan elasticated waist trews, think Bay City Rollers, hand knitted cream coloured sloppy joe jumper with some Paddington Bear type stains that won't come out in the wash, topped off with a multi coloured knitted waistcoat minus the buttons, whole lot finished off with pink and black liqurish allsorts fluffy slipper socks.

Thank God they invented Hoodies. When the lights come on and the curtains are closed it is jammies with a hoodie zipped up and hood up. 6 of 7 nights I go to bed , in my hoodie and read, I wake up about an hour later, turn out the light and pull the blanket up with said hoodie still on. In the morning I wrap the blanket around my bottom half and make coffee. And that folks is why I'm single. Don't have to please anyone but ME. Love those crocks John I have a fur line pair also, so easy to slip on.

  21. A soft gray thermal top that I stole from hubbie. Wear it at least three days before washing because I'm scared it will die. Camo fleece pants (also liberated from husband), and minnetonka fleece line mocs. Had the fleece lined crocs, but the kids made them go away.

Since retirement, all sartorial standards have been chucked out of the window. I have a fine collection of ancient fleece joggers, an array of shrunken, felted jumpers and hoodies at least 10 years old. At one time I would change if just nipping out for a paper or milk, but now I can't be arsed and go as I am. I have various fetching ensembles for sleeping, comprising even more ancient garments.

  29. Leopard print onesie - complete with a hood, with ears - over PJs and fluffy socks. I keep meaning to get some leopard-print fabric and add a tail, I feel it needs one.

  30. Sheepskin boots (indoors), leggings, long jumpers with a T-shirt underneath, or another jumper if it gets really cold. All covered in a light dusting of cat hair (I think it has insulating properties!). There's usually a hole in one thing or another, or paint on me somewhere.

  31. Slobbing outfit? My tiger print thong, Ugg boots and tam o'shanter. Kind of awkward when a parcel delivery person rings the doorbell.

  32. I have to wear shoes unless I'm in bed. It's hot and humid here so before work I was in underwear, t shirt and shoes.

    It's an interesting look!

  33. Coming on summer here now, so get around in my daggiest dad shorts and ripped T-shirt and thongs. Winter time get around in old trackie dacks, sloppy joe and ugg boots.

  34. This time of the year, thermal tops, slouchy trackies, woolly socks and fur lined slipper boots (crocs for taking dogs out for a pee) liberally covered in dog hair and yes, the odd bleach stain. I also don the odd crocheted shawl or poncho if it's really nippy.

My slbby clothes are mocs, old sweat bottoms, a bright colored T shirt, and a very old sweat shirt with a hood. :)

  37. Anything goes. I had an early morning conversation, standing on the road, with my neighbour, I was in pyjamas, he was wearing underpants and not quite long enough scruffy T shirt. Country life for you. I have retired my beloved but threadbare red candlewick dressing gown. The cat took a dislike to me wearing it.

  38. On the weekends, I stay in my pajamas (at this time of year, flannel, or fleece), my old wrap around pink bathrobe, and socks which I have slept in because I can't sleep with cold feet. I will then throw on my old L.L. Bean coat (with pink robe hanging out from underneath), a hat, ripped up mittens, and fuzzy lined short rubber boots, and walk out into the snow to open up the chicken coop and do morning chicken chores. I do draw the line at wearing pajamas out in public. Do people wear their pajama bottoms as pants (publically) where you are? They've been doing that here for years. -Jenn

  40. A very soft loose cotton dress to the knees doesn't bother the fibromyalgia and arthritis much. At winter I add sweatpants and slippers. I live in a desert winter is only a month or two at the most.

    cheers, parsnip and badger

  41. Pjs and fleece dressing gown. I love crocs but my grown son said your dignity seeps out of the holes when you are wearing them. I remedied that by buying fleece lined ones like yours! My late mother in law was always surprised that I "feel the cold" owing to my layer of fat.

  44. I'm sadly over zealous. My slobbing outfit never leaves the house. But it's a pair of Ralph Lauren gray/black/white flannel lounging pants and a one of any solid-color T-shirts. (I mean, what if someone drops by unexpectedly?)

  46. Threadbare jeans that are also ripped and way too big, so I added elastic to the waistband. If really cold, leggings underneath. Old xxl men’s t-shirts that are also way too large and have holes and stains. Hand knit socks and slippers. If going outside to the barn I add boots I’ve had for 20+ years and hoodie and rain slicker, if needed.
I do clean up to go totown. Then my jeans and shirt fit better.

  47. What's my slobbing outfit? Pretty much all of them. I have a few decent things for work but the ones that get cycled down to "house clothes" are there for a reason: too worn out!
