What Made You Laugh This Week?

The Donald Trump inflatable baby which has had the green light to be flown over a London when the President arrives
This made me chuckle

This blog is over to you again my pretties !
What made you laugh this week?
I want details here as we all are in need of a good chuckle
Mine? Well mine was watching the final of the Dave Tv comedy quiz show Taskmaster
Now for those that don't know Taskmaster is a silly competition where 5 comedians have to perform batty  challenges for chairman Greg Davies and his sidekick the delightful little Alex Horne
It's an incredibly funny programme made better by my favourite performer Lisa Tarbuck winning the final.

So what made you laugh until you were knicker moist?

    1. No, I'm not trying to push porn!! This is a German commercial from ADAC, I have no idea what they are actually advertising. This one has been done with english text though, and I think it is just the frustrated dejectedness at the end that made me laugh.

  2. At work last week I shouted out "I have venereal warts" (I do not btw). We were discussing veterans benefits which we see documentation about in our work, and how some veterans get benefits for odd afflictions. I can't easily explain why I said that statement. It did give all of us in earshot a good belly laughing.

After a dismal Indepedence Day in which we here at the SparksDent house didn’t feel like celebrating the current racist/homophobic/you-name-it minority in control I stumbled across this rendition of patriotic songs by Prince Poppycock which lightened our spirits and gave us a good laugh . . . https://youtu.be/w2qfS9FTkMs

  7. I'am probably the only one who will comment here that i find the Trump balloon thing insulting.. And no i'am not a fan of Donald Trump... However he is my president .. Yes , yes thank you for the condolences... I think he should receive the respect of the office he occupies.. Whether i disliked or disagreed with another countries president i would still hope that if he or she visited my country they would be treated respectfully.. There truly are no boundaries anymore on people's behavior some may find that freeing.. i for one find it scary.. People don't have respect for themselves much less anyone else.. I'm not even saying Mr. Trump deserves it but because of the office he holds he should receive it.. And that is my two cents..

    1. Agreed, jinxxxygirl. I'd say that "inflatable baby" is not so much "insulting" as just plain stupid, tasteless, most certainly not funny. What's beginning to piss me off (and I am not a fan of Trump either) that he has been tarred with one brush and no one actually listens to him any longer. He talks a lot of rot, no doubt, but, among the many sows' ears, he does deliver the odd silk purse.

      Makes you think how, once your reputation is down the drain, little makes any difference in how people perceive you.

      What made me laugh? Madeleine Albright saying that she would respect Trump if he did three things. Can’t remember what the first two were, but the last, delivered after a perfect comedic pause....”when he stops lying”. That made me laugh.

      As to the balloon I agree it is insulting...and kinda think that is its point.

  9. What makes me laugh? This week? Or any other?

    My dear John, if I want to laugh I venture to blog land. Some bloggers and their commentators make me laugh so much (for reasons I best keep to myself) they are prolonging the very life of mine a few are trying to shorten.

  10. John - I am not a miserable person - on the contrary I try to keep cheerful at all times (and usually succeed) but I honestly can't remember the last time anything made me laugh out loud. I think I cry much more easily than I laugh because so many quite minor things on TV bring tears to my eyes. Perhaps it is something to do with getting older. x

    This week we have had a huge Southern Right Whale who has come for a holiday in our harbour, jumping and swimming every day with lots of shots of him on the news. That has given me a smile each night to see such joy from such a great creature.

  12. While I'm generally a cheerful person, it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, although usually an evening with good friends will include at least one laugh-until-you-cry moment. The thing that made me laugh out loud most recently was reading "This is Going to Hurt" by Adam Kay. While it's also quite sad, in talking about the strain of being a junior doctor, it is very very funny.

    The other day I moved a polystyrene head I particularly dislike to the back of the shop. I had the sudden urge to pop a pair of sunglasses on her and pin a note on her head saying, "shop spy ". The manager came out to the back to tell me something and saw my spy lady and totally shrieked with laughter, she had to rush to the loo and I could hear her belly laughing which set me off and I had the best laugh in months xx

    @jinxxxygirl,
    I don't find the baby balloon at all funny, but if I had my way, the racist, misogynistic, fascist Trump would not be allowed admission to my country! If he wants respect, he could always try earning it. Quite obviously he's never heard or read;

I am not a football fan, I only watch the World Cup and the European cup and that provides enough excitement for me. This has been a good tournament with champions being humbled, the dreaded Russians being perfect hosts and nice weather to get drunk surreptitiously while studiously watching the footy.

I'm going to his sending off party next week...the whole thing is being hosted in the garden [he didn't want any type of service] and he'll be there in his coffin for a couple of hours in the workshop. When his friends drive him off to the crem [they're literally just dropping him off at the back door] we're all going to be letting off party poppers as they leave...all his plans coming to fruition. No sadness just a celebration and lots of cider of the life he lived in the way he wanted. Arilx

After having several close calls with the hooks,I wore my grandfather's welding helmet(which has a Haida eagle painted on it) and an old red leather jacket (with shoulder pads). He looked at me and said "Grandma you should put your life jacket on." We all laughed and off we went. He's much improved and I don't have to dig a fish hook out of my arm.

My laugh out loud moment, was a clip yesterday on MeanQueen’s blog, of a black dog (lab maybe) exuberately running into and through a water fountain. I think the most I laughed this week was when my tiny, skinny little grandson who is not yet three told me and his mother what he thought a father bear was saying in a book we were reading him. He opened his mouth and let forth with a long, long string of the loudest, belly-deepest Ha ha ha ha ha's! you've ever heard. Last week we picked up our new French bulldog George, teaching him to sit Teddy is using all the correct hand signals but this sweet little dog had no clue what is going on, but poor Bindi was sitting like a champ waiting for her treat, meanwhile the rabbit has cracked the shits because he’s wanting to let out to have his normal run of the house. It feels like our house has turned into a circus, my hubby and I just looked at each other and laughed, I’m sure we will miss it all when our daughter and family move to their own house soon. I went to work cursing and on the lookout for one legged thieving gits. On Wednesday my husband went to mow the orchard at the allotment half a mile from the house, and found an area of flattened grass in the middle of it covered with fox hair, ripped open food waste bags... And my sandal :) No damage at all - a quick clean and I was able to wear them to work today. I had a queue of people at my desk trying to guess which one was "the fox sandal"!

    I don't know sign language, but my friend did. So I bugged her to interpret what was going on. She refused at first, telling me to mind my own business. But she gave in, right as the young lady became really animated and flung her hands all up in the air, swiftly throwing up hand signs like she was calling out her homies to rally to defend their gang territory in the hood!

    The young man held his hands up and my friend interpreted his signing to his angry partner:

    "Calm down! Stop yelling at me. I'm deaf, not blind!"

    We just burst out laughing. And a few seconds later, the young lady laughed, too. Whatever their conflict, it seemed resolved over the laughter.
