Walking Dead 9

I've just seen the season 9 trailer!
How wonderful it returns in October
Only managed to capture a few screen shots
Jerry is kissing Nabilla ! How wonderful

Zombies

Carol cuddling Daryl

Rick dies apparently

Huh?

Maggie and Daryl

I suspect it's the last series and by the look of it has 30 characters ! Too much but I can't wait .. it been part of my life for 8 years....go figure

    1. I can explain
      As a youngster I adored 1970'disaster movies
      A big cast
      Some live
      Some die
      Just like zombie tv series

    2. Oh I loved disaster movies! I own Towering Inferno among others. Such cheesy goodness. I could never get into zombies though. Balder Half watched the first season and then lost interest.

  2. There's nothing like a good TV series, movie or book to take you out of your head for a bit. Enjoy every one of those 30 characters :)

  3. There's a part of me that sort of hopes it's the last season. I still watch it, of course, and I'd like for them to be able to end it on their own terms.

There'd been talk before of having it go on for 20 years. That's probably out now.

But I am still entertained, and there are still times I have to hit pause in order to breathe a little before pressing onward.

  5. Rick dies as he did not renew his contract as does Maggie for the same reason. that leaves only Daryl and Carol from the very beginning.

  6. I'm hoping they tie up the ends. I hate wondering what if's about a cancelled show.

  7. I don't watch the show but I understand the fascination for zombies. Kansas City has a Zombie Walk for Hunger each year and a few years ago my grown kids and grandchildren took part in it. It was hilarious and so much fun besides raising quite a lot of money for a worthy cause. My grandson is in boy scouts and they have a zombie weekend camp out once a year, also very popular!

  8. I had a hard time getting into Neegan. He just didn't have the charisma of the Governor nor the stone cold ruthlessness of Shane or even the practical cannibalistic logic of the Terminites.

The dumpster people just got on my nerves, as did the Hilltop suck up leader. The final straw was killing Carl. He plays a very critical role in the comics. By taking him out, the tv show shot themselves in foot and painted themselves in a corner. No one else can bridge the next chapters in the saga. Carl was the linchpin that held the rest of the chapters. Killing him may have added drama and shock value, but it also killed the script. You can't incorporate the Whisperers without Carl! And killing the fan favorite tiger was just cilantro on the taco--awful and left a bad taste in my mouth!

If this is the last season, I hope they end on a high note. I do want to see Carol, Darryl, Maggie, Rosita, and the other characters we've rooted for get a happy ending or a great send off.

    1. Well, if I thought this show was in a different taste range than mine, this clinched it! "Cilantro on the taco", indeed! *Snicker*

  9. John - you rave about this - I could watch the last series - where can I watch it - have never come across it other than in your posts and you (being the discerning viewer you are) must be a good critic, so please give details.

  10. Can't wait. It is only fitting that Darryl and Carol are there at the end I think. They have been the best characters all the way through in my opinion.

  12. Just told the blokes in my family the walking dead news, they are excited. Usually It’s walking dead night here every Monday. Me, I’m addicted to the handmaidens tale.

  13. Love it. Can hardly wait. My son and started watching this together all those years ago; cannot believe it's been that long...It should end with Rick, though; he is the center of it all. (As much as I love Carol & Darryl.)

  14. I believe the brutality of Negan destroyed the fan base for the show...I lost interest but kept watching. After Carl's death I just didn't see the show surviving much longer.

  16. I wish Rick could just go away rather than die. I didn't know Maggie was leaving too. I will certainly miss it when and if it goes off the air.

  17. I still haven't watch since they killed poor Sheba. I couldn't forgive.

But must end soon...it's become a cycle over and over. There will always be another group to fight.

  18. I'm ready for it to end; I still care about Darryl, Carol, Tara, Jesus and a couple of others, but SO tired of Rick...
