  3. I am glad. We have a similar mix here too. And they are nice people as well. Sometimes so nice I wonder whether they take niceness pills.

  7. Looks so tasty. Served on sliced bread instead of a bun, is very interesting.

  8. A triple deck with grilled onions.....ok, i'll come out of retirement for an afternoon, notify the cath lab we're doing three coronary angioplasty with stents. I'll do them at bargain rates, considering I haven't picked up a cannula in a few years.....

  9. Makes me think of an LGBTQ Pride event I went to a number of years ago in Winnipeg where the hot dog stand was staffed by women wearing t-shirts reading "Lesbians Like Wieners Too!"

  12. Sausages look good! Sounds like a good cause. Catching up on some of your goin’ ons while I was on blogging hiatus. Sure does seem like you’ve had a whole lot changes — the Flower Committee dissolving, the frog episode and more. Seems like a pretty eventful life with unique experiences. I don’t recall ever stepping on a frog.

... A 'lesbian' with MS... ? Why the need to mention her orientation and not those of the others at your dinner?

It's an account of a happy event. Not a sociology essay!

  17. As you listed the characters I was expecting you to finish with "... walked into a bar." Yours is a much better ending.

  18. Contrary to common prejudice, this proves that Welsh folk not only know how to party like it's 1999 but they are also well-versed in fine dining.

Actually I thought it looked so yummy I'd have been tempted off my no meat eating plan -- I bet it smelt good too! The tea dance looked fun - too bad about the conflict in timing. You have so much going on where you live, (That's not meant sarcastically by the way but very enviously). Good wishes. Jean/Winnipeg
