She's nailed it, lol!
Anyone who has doxies knows, they may look harmless, but they've got the instincts of a hunter. If they love you, they are yours forever, if not, they can be nasty little buggers! Love mine dearly!
I don't think so, not one bit. You may feel sad, John, but you're not a sad dog, waiting for a pet. You have some decades ahead, John. Use your resources and imagination and look inside to see what you want. You have still an invite sent.
It could be worse.
I think Winfred would be a better choice. . . . all in the eyes and attitude.
I don't know about the resemblance. But the personality totally. I had three doxies....and they will purposely do things for a good laugh, I swear. And you make me laugh.
Well... Um... It's a cute little dog. It's the thought that counts, right? her heart was in the right place...I don't know. I've got nothing...
I don't know John you rather remind me of a Bulldog.. Hugs! deb
What; held up in a woman's hands???
I'm with Debra. Joan's got it spot-on! (You should be flattered, JayGee!)
I'm with Joan as that dog's facial expression is saying 'don't mess with me bitch' x
A fat little girl dog, in a pink collar, who looks about to pee her pants, if indeed she had some? I don't think so at all.
It's the eyes.
Taking my life into my hands by disagreeing with you, Rachel, but it's not the eyes. John has soulful eyes; that dog looks partly startled, partly disgusted. As I would be if someone picked me up and took a picture of me without explicit consent.U
If you was a dog John, what dog do you think you would be? I would love to be a pedigree - an afghan hound with long legs and silky hair. In reality I would more likely be a toothless mongrel overlooked at the dogs home!
Don't take it to heart. Maybe Joan was playing on Dachshund (lit. translation Badger Dog) in recognition of your recent badger post. Or maybe that was one of Cro's posts. Confusion is mine. Anyway, and to do my blogname justice, you look nothing like that dog. You are a beauty by comparison. U
You as a dachshund? Now the pink collar and medallion, that might work!
What is a Doxie ?
It's an old term for prostitute, but in this context I think it means dachshund.
I really don't know what to say ... I might have compared you to a very superior Goldie - because they're generously loving, and very keen on food (!), or to a beautiful Bulldog for their loyalty.... but to what does that little overweight, ophthalmic poppet relate I wonder??
There's something about the eyes...
Best dogs in the world. They may look sweet and harmless but they're as tough as any Doberman and the best guard dogs around.Added bonus of being lap size for movie afternoons!
I can see where Joan is coming from. That dog's eyes are just like yours. I would be a hot dog with fried onions and ketchup.
You would be thinner
I am sure you had a good laugh at the picture. We all have to laugh at ourselves as it makes life bearable.
Not you . . . Your eyes are gentle, not piercing . . .
I see you as some sort of shaggy dog - a pyrenean mountain dog perhaps. Don't ask me why, I just do.
Oh no, you are a regal Golden Retriever...smiling face and wagging tail! Always there to make everyone happy! A faithful Labrador would be a second choice. I was bit by a Doxie once. They are cute, but unpredictable and don't get me started on little ankle chewing Rat Terriers!
