Banksy is brilliant, a true artist of the people. And usually very politically and emotionally aware of the mood of the locality he leaves his mark on.
I have learned how to rest over the years from my teacher/husband, Ron. He is a pro at it. I wasn't a good pupil at first but now I am catching on to its benefits. And does it ever work! Nothing like a short, scheduled, daily rest. Here's to 'rest', John.
I have loved Banksy for some time, and have that same image saved on my computer. For me, the fact that he shares his insight and talent with all of us is important. There is a quite good art museum in my city, but I've only been there when my father (now gone to glory) bought tickets for us to see special shows. Funding for the arts is difficult, but I wish we did a better job of it, rather than charging people to come to the museum. And of course, not everyone will enjoy Banksy's art, but I do note that it doesn't appear on the walls of people's homes, but usually in not-so-gorgeous public places that I think benefit from that touch of human creativity.
I stumbled upon a piece I think may have been Banky once up around Angel in LDN. It was a life-sized Charlie Manson (from Helter Skelter days) done in white along a cement wall. To say it was jarring to round the corner and see him sort of facing me is an understatement.
