Building on a sense of positivism , I found this video on YouTube.
Not seeing the movie The Greatest Showman yet, I was still aware of this song which has become the film's anthem.
This video is a presentation of the song for the first time with the film's singing cast, and it's a revelation to watch.
The energy, the emotion and the fact Hugh Jackman cries make it a special moment all caught unexpectedly on camera
Enjoy

It is a lovely and wonderful song performed by a wondrous and charming people. Thank you for sharing this. It made me smile, and that's always a welcomed and good feeling! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYes there seemed a whole lotta love in that room
DeleteA wonderfully uplifting song, which made me well up, as these are apt to do.
ReplyDeleteSame effect here
DeleteWow! You can really feel the energy in that room. Everybody is on board. Thanks for sharing John.
ReplyDeleteLove the guy standing on the chair
DeleteI have watched this SO many times and I cry every time :)
ReplyDeleteI love it .. I love her ... amazing voice!!
She lived it
DeleteWOW! xo
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought, it was quite magical
DeleteThank you for sharing that wonderful song. Something I would probably never have seen if it wasn't on your blog. Delightful x
ReplyDeleteYes I was glad I found it
DeleteI haven't seen "Showman" yet either. But I AM interested in the Joaquin Phoenix movie, having read your review below. I'm always up for a dark film!
ReplyDeleteCross LEON with Taxi Driver
DeleteThat sounds like my kind of film.
DeleteAll that energy and talent, wow. I cried some happy tears listening. Thanks for showing this to me. Now I am interested in the movie.
ReplyDeleteThat was great!
ReplyDeleteI have watched this amazing clip several times and it continues to blow me away! The love is palpable and the talent tremendous. This is a movie to see for sure. Hugh Jackman has come a long way from Wolverine to starring in musicals and has done amazing in all! Of course he is surrounded by talent like this!
ReplyDeleteI saw him before he was famous in the west end ...he played the lead in Oklahoma in the 1990s
DeleteI would love to have seen that!
DeleteHe was wonderful as was Maureen lipman
DeleteDo try to catch the film at the cinema, JayGee. I saw it in December, having just compiled, unfortunately, my 10 Favourites of 2017, not imagining that this film ought to have been included, which it would have deserved. Today, it's still, amazingly, raking it in at cinemas, currently at something like #5, some 18 weeks later! A clear case of the public disagreeing with the almost unanimously less-than-enthusiastic critics' reviews :-http://raybeard.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/film-greatest-showman.html
ReplyDeleteI've already read your review Raymondo and I can't wait to see it......
DeleteWhoa-Whoa! x
ReplyDeleteA brilliant film, we loved it ☺
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen the film but this song is moving and uplifting and so much more we need to be more accepting of each other.
ReplyDeleteMargo the song is about the " freaks " of Victorian theatre...how apt ..and how right you are
DeleteLove this song! A true anthem for misfits everywhere! And most people are misfits in some way or another.
ReplyDeleteIt deserved the Oscar.
ReplyDeleteI love a strong narrative in music, you can see, hear and feel the energy and emotion in that room. I hear a choir master one time say, you can't sing about hurt, until you have been hurt, you can't capture love, until you have been in love. The feeling comes from deep within, you can't fake it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a serious amount of energy they put into that!
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie! My Retired Man groaned when the picture first started but when it was over he said that it was great and very entertaining. The music and energy was fantastic. In my opinion, it was the best movie of last year.
ReplyDeleteOh John, it is a fabulous movie. We saw it twice in one week as did my 8 year old granddaughter. It's a movie for all.
