Never had cats and dogs together, but did as a child. Rumpelstiltskin (the cat) would put our dog Amber in her place when she was young, but they grew to have a mutual respect and affection which was lovely to witness.
I've just this second put Fred (cat) on the sofa by the side of Bok (dog), and he ran off screaming and scratched me. Recently they've fine together; they must have had a row!
I freelance write captions for a greeting card company in California (Palm Press, Inc.) and this was one of the recent photos on their caption site. There is a difference between the two photos, though. On that website the cat's legs aren't up in the air and he looks a little more relaxed. Where did you come across this one, John?
My son has two dogs and one cat. He has quite a few pictures like this one. The cat rules and the dogs are OK with that.

ReplyDeleteI was amused by the photo as it does underline Albert's tightrope walk with dogs that understand nothing about cats
DeleteI have a human friend who sleeps like that. And come to think of it if she had a cat, it would be one that slept on her head:)

ReplyDeleteHe's thinking "It sure is a topsy-turvy world!"

ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
Is that what they call "having a threesome"?
ReplyDeleteI sometimes worry about those "internet photos". That poor cat looks stoned, or dead!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cat sandwich..
ReplyDeletePlease don’t spoil my day and tell me this is the work of photoshop . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the eyes . . . and the dogs reaction, “happens all the time!”
It may not be the party he hoped for, but while he is here he might as well dance.
