Postscript

Twelve years is too long not to have seen old friends, and this afternoon it was lovely to catch up with two of the best.

It's all a bit shaky as we were balancing on the back of Dale's wheelchair/bike

  4. Now THAT'S what retirement is all about...the ability to drop everything to meet up with dear friends whenever you please. You're a wise man.

    2. Ah. More mock Tudor. I still love pastiche though. I am a sucker for make-believe.

  12. I didn't see a friend for a similar length of time because her husband was in the forces and they moved all the time. When we finally did meet again it was as if she'd only walked out of the room five minutes before. I walked past the Chester Rows only a few weeks ago...it's such a lovely city. Arilx

  20. On Bridge Street, not far from Carluccio's!

  21. By wheelchair-bike, do you mean disability scooter? Riding on the back of a disability scooter can be very risky. You might fall off and end up needing a disability scooter of your own.

  22. Smiles all around. One of the pleasures of retiring is the time to meet up with friends, old and new, and just enjoy their company. Time well spent.
