Overcrowded

The ever chirpy kitchen fitters brought with them an even chirpier electrician at the crack of dawn this morning so after I'd made them all coffee and shared out a packet of chocolate fingers, it was time to leave them to it.

I am going to walk around and drink coffee, Im going to Browse the bookshop, art gallery and give the kitchen shop a good once over!
What are you all doing today?

You're not the least bit stressed John. I can tell. You are calm and relaxed about the process and not concerned at all.

  3. I'm waiting for the landlord to come round and sort out two malfunctions:-
    1) No hot water - the immersion heater isn't firing up although the central heating's okay.
    2) The toilet flush gave up some weeks go - on my birthday, in fact! Having to pour down a pail, usually two, of water every time is not my idea of fun!

Btw: In your text above, you know you don't have to keep repeating everything you say. I heard you the first time! :-)

  5. Currently I am reading this weird Welsh blog called "Going Mental" - or something like that. Later I shall do three days worth of shopping at "Lidl", continue tidying up the study, make our evening meal and tonight I will meet up with my quizzing mates at "The Hammer and Pincers". It's all go.

  27. I've been doing more research on the holy wells and springs of Gloucestershire which I hope to write and then publish. The hairdresser interrupted me for an hour then we had a sausage sandwich for lunch and I had a nap on the sofa while hubby went shopping. He's visiting his 90 year old parents on Thursday so I need to cook cake, a fish stew and a soup for him to take with him tomorrow. I've just finished editing a short story for my writers group annual competition and now I'm waiting for the first of my three piano pupils for the day to arrive. I'm actually in tonight so I'm planning to knit more of my grandson's Christmas jumper.

  41. Beware the walking round and coffee, tonight called into our newest coffee house, famous name size of aircraft hanger for the bus parties that have so far not materialised and may never, sucumbed to my first and last filled croisant, pretty good but dont count the calories ever. Confirmed their con, order in english small coffee with hand movements too and they still translate that to tall at another fifty pence a pop. Did my paperwork on paper :) aircraft hangers are peaceful with 3 customers. Now organising tomorrows diary (full) ah the joys of being retired :)

  44. I spent 30 euros on taxi fare and spent 45 minutes waiting for my doctor to review lab results that she then couldn't access because all the medical center's computer system was down. I then, because it was late, slathered peanut butter and jam on rice crackers for lunch and dropped two (not one) of the giant rice crackers face down of course on my shirt and jeans. I would have traded days with you.
