The Prof is away until Sunday.
I am all alone till then.
Today I shall meet my Sister in Law for lunch as it's her birthday. Then I shall go and see the new Blade Runner movie.( even though I never really liked the original)
If the weather improves the shrubs in the back garden need pruning and I've promised a neighbour to do a few errands.....errands that need physical effort and brute force
George is not himself and has been restless all night. He only settled when I took him to bed and allowed him to sleep with his head on the Prof's pillow.
He's an old Scotty Dog now.
Albert is off colour too. He's vomited mice bits all over the Prof's office overnight and is now " resting" gently on our bed watching the bachelors as they fight for the top spot on the hen house roof in the Ukrainian Village
Uncharacteristically , Mary has been somewhat gentle and attentive and has sat meekly by his side as he recooperates.
She licked the wax out of his ears for an age, a practice that seems to settled his stomach. and refused to leave him when I called her for a walk.
Her loyalty has surprised me, as Albert main doggy relationship has always been with Winnie.
Winnie being the fat fickle diva that she is, is presently rubbing her fanny on the side of the living room bookcase.
Note to self: go and find the kitchen roll and some squirty cleaner

ReplyDeleteOn this side of the world Jazz projectile vomited a number of UDOs (Unidentified Disgusting Objects) yesterday and has been subdued since. Not however too subdued to demand breakfast. He will be fine.
I hope the same is true for your furry friends, while knowing that the prognosis for old dogs is always a little bleak.

DeleteIt's an unsettling feeling to have one of the household not feeling well. It gives me a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I hope George and Albert perk up soon.

I d be very happy if I never had to hear about Winnie's sexual adventures ever again. Just saying...
Oh and Mo the Pug puked up his brunch on an antique quilt today, something sickly must be going around, across oceans etc.
DeleteOur cat (Fred) has taken to sleeping in the bath or hand basins. I think he's trying to tell us something.

ReplyDeletePoor pets, Frankie brought up her brekkies, very unusual for her as it's usually old boy bramble,
ReplyDeleteMy son and his friend re watched the old Blade runner as are going to see the new one. His opinion was interesting as commented Harrison Ford's character was sexually aggressive towards his love interest. I must watch it again as I just remember him being a weary washed out bounty hunter.
Sickness in the house - now that is something I do know about at the moment.

DeleteI love the old Blade Runner, preferably the last cut. I rewatch every year or so. The music is superb. Hopefully the new will live up to the old.

ReplyDeleteIt is good that albert got the mouse parts out. He will perk up soon. The dear old scotty is slowing down and needs a hug. I dont know what to same about our wonderful winnie except she has no shame..hope she is enjoying herself..
