It will do me good to live in a community again rather than down the lane, although I love it.
ReplyDeleteStart a flower show weave
DeleteThe music is lovely if a tad shrill.
ReplyDeleteI've never really listened to a saw before
DeleteBusy times. And your new kitchen is nearly there.
ReplyDeleteWell, he's only coming to re check the measurements god knows when they will start
DeleteThat time of year to get things done before the snow flies! We got new windows put in yesterday plus kitchen sink the week before. I think we are ready....no we aren't....snow tires need to be put on. Never ends!
ReplyDeleteYour new kitchen sounds great, John. Funny how it all seems to happen at once.
Jimbo show me a photo of the sink!
DeleteWorkers in the house are a pain in the neck. However, if all turns out well, it is worth the interruption.
ReplyDeleteThat is a strange song by Tom Waits. I have quite a bit of his music, but never heard that one.
"Take me home " is a nice one of his , especially when sung by Crystal Gayle
DeleteCrossed phone lines! I haven't heard or experienced them for years.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when an American carpenter runs out of log cabins to build. They just cannot keep their hands off their tools.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day, Winnie will be so happy to have company!
ReplyDeleteI will have to put the other dogs away in the car. Winnie will insist to watch the workmen work
DeleteWhen do I get to knock out orgasms like confetti?
ReplyDeleteAnd why am I the only one making a joke about that? What's wrong with everyone today?
It's late... I too thought it was funny
DeleteI wish I could move to Wales and buy Auntie Glad's house.
ReplyDeleteI'd love you would
DeleteYou can still buy it!
DeleteFarmer Basil may be a bit bouncy but what's the new puppy like?
ReplyDeleteYou would like him YP he reminds me of an old Yorkshire bloke .....no messin
DeleteHow many days work will the kitchen and new window take? I had workmen at my house last week for two days putting in new floors, it is so disruptive but well worth the results once it is done. Tell the farmer my bouncy dog is named Bounce, might work as a moniker for his new pup too,
ReplyDeleteI hope the workmen get your kitchen done as quickly as the guys who did our deck.
ReplyDeleteI am confused. Is that Tom Waits the same one whose voice has been described as sounding as if it had been "...soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car."??? Fawn doesn't sound like his kind of tune.
ReplyDeleteI am confused too Catalyst..must be 2 of same name...our tom sings warm beer and cold women. He sounds like gravel.
ReplyDeleteAnyway..very happy that winnie will get her jollies.
Tom Waits makes any time alone better.
ReplyDeleteWell it's certainly "All Go" at your place John - and it sounds as if Weaver is closer to a moving date, so there'll be Action Stations everywhere! You're lucky the person who overheard your conversation knew who the other party on the line was - or you could have has some very compromising conversations before you found out it was happening .... hee hee - or BIG Ooops!!!!
ReplyDeleteJohn, do you have any word on Auntie Glad? How is she, have you seen her lately?
ReplyDeleteNot much goes on in our quiet little hamlet (Monique has put her jacuzzi away) so I love reading the snips of gossip from Trelawnyd.
ReplyDeleteI wish I shared Winnie's enthusiasm for workmen, or even ANY men! 😀😁😋
ReplyDeleteLove Tom Waits' music. 'Alice' is my favourite. Usually takes me a couple of listens to anything new for my ears to become accustomed.
ReplyDeleteThat little village has a lot going on. I'm especially happy for Winnie.
ReplyDeleteOh that mans voice ... I could listen to him for hours.

having a bit of repair work done on my house as well since the lower level got nearly 18" of water from Hurricane Harvey. old nasty paneling out and new birch beadboard paneling in, nasty styrafoam ceiling tiles out and sheetrock ceiling in.
ReplyDeleteKitchen being fitted .... exciting .... and, best be careful what you say on the phone for a while !!! Photos of Winnie with workman please ...... perhaps leave a slipper around for relief purposes !!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteThat phone situation is very strange! We don't use our BT landline for phone calls -- only for internet -- and I guess I'm glad now.
ReplyDeleteLove Tom Waits....one of the best concerts I ever attended. You must be so excited about your new kitchen....although I suspect you might be moving next year?
