We leave Broadstairs very soon. There is a " fast train" from the coast to London then a short walk from the gothic splendour of St Pancras to the dumpy boredom of Euston.
We shall be home by early afternoon.
Yesterday I received a message from the kennels telling me that William was " non too happy" His skin itch seems worse and apparently he looks listless and tired. The kennel owner is more than trust worthy and will discuss him with the her vet ( which incidentally is our vet) and then act accordingly.
Old dogs,! They break your heart. .

Have a safe journey back.
ReplyDeleteKnowing you have a completely trustworthy kennels makes all the difference to a trip away doesn't it? I hope William will be OK. X
I hope William is just missing his pack!
ReplyDeleteThey break your heart long after they're gone but having great memories helps. We had our Harry for 16+ years!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried a " grain free" diet for the little fella? It might be worth a try if you haven't. My Yorkie is also on fish and veg kibble ( Fishmongers Finest.....they do a " senior" version) and doesn't seem to be getting the skin problems that she used to. Hope he will be OK. x
ReplyDeleteWe switched to grain and rice free diet for our dog too and her skin is much improved. The ezcema and dandruff have cleared completely.
DeleteWe buy Purizon and Taste of the Wild online but I will look at Fishmongers too. Thank you.
DeleteGood luck.
ReplyDeleteMy heart has been shattered by rather a lot of animals. And the shards often cut me again years later.
Croeso y Gymru!
ReplyDeleteI wish the best for William, and you. x
ReplyDeleteI thought you used to drive down to Broadstairs. Enjoy the train journey and I hope WillIAm perks up when he sees you.
ReplyDeleteWilliam is simply saying 'he misses you'.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, William will perk up when he sees you..... although, he probably won't speak to you as you left him !!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteJust tell Sweet William that you promise to NEVER leave him again - and act on it.
ReplyDeleteLittle William....hope he perks up upon seeing you and getting home.
ReplyDeleteHe will soon be wagging his tail when he sees you. Maybe the warm weather is upsetting his itchy skin.
ReplyDeletewhen you get home, spoil william!
ReplyDeleteSafe Travels, and wishing everyone well.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels . . .
ReplyDeleteOur little one "reacts" when she "anticipates our going" . . .
Hopefully your "coming home" will settle William a bit . . .
Cooked carrots saved the day when ours developed skin allergies/sensitivities . . . The vet suggested the carrot thingy, plus an allergy sensitive food . . . but cooked carrots did the
"save the day trick!"
Hope he's ok.I use evening primrose in Bonnie's food to help her skin x
ReplyDeleteHope William's ok and feeling for you, hoping it's just the warm, humid weather and missing you xx
ReplyDeleteMay he's just missing you and will perk up when you come for him. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeletePoor fellow. He will be glad to get home, I think.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with William.
ReplyDeleteTerriers seem particularly prone to skin problems. Hope he is okay, he will be pleased to see you.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you will perk him up - interesting what Sue says about skin problems because Tess suffers too (Border terrier). Yes - they break your heart but they give such love it is something we have to endure. Hope your holiday did you both good.
ReplyDeletePoor William. Be safe getting home and take care of that boy.
ReplyDeletePoor William - some extra TLC on your return will work wonders.
ReplyDeleteThat is what I think/hope it is ... he wants his daddies and his home and his own bed.
ReplyDeleteHe will be his old self when you bring him back home.
I'm sorry to hear about William and him itching. My foxy was put on prednisone when it got to bad. Safe travels and hugs to all the furr babies! 😘
