"I'll admit I may have seen better days,
but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail,

I hope your last two shifts are memorable in a good way!Albert is adorable

may your shifts be wonderful, not too busy and not boring either. Best Wishes. x
Party on Sunday?
A grabbed cold cuppa and a ginger nut at the nurses station no doubt
I wouldn't be so sure. Take your best frock and try not to fall over.
The nice feeling will come next week when you know those shifts are no more.
Such an alert little chap he is. The last two days...wow...that came up fast didn't it?
Oh my goodness, John Gray! And now you will officially begin the next adventure of your life story!
Did you know that a dragonfly can take down a Hummingbird?! Albert better be careful!Oh, you are going to LOVE retirement!! No external pressures that can't be managed very quickly!!
good hunter albert!I suspect you will be a weeping mess tomorrow night. no matter; one chapter ends and another one begins.
Hope you love being retired as much as I do. Now you will be busier than ever, but on your own terms - well, more than previously, anyway.
So close! I'm deeply envious, as for me the blessed day is still, in the way that I'm counting it to maintain the vestiges of my sanity, 85 weekends off.We look forward to your adventures in retirement.
Look at those eyes! I wonder if the dragonfly has hynotised Albert or v.v.?Perhaps you'll be hearing some 'home truths' after tomorrow's shift - stuff that others have held back from telling you but now it's their last chance. But I've no doubt that you can also get a final dig in, even if it's in the form of a written goodbye note. Nothing to lose now.
Hope you enjoy your retirement. I had bad dreams - that I was late for work! They went on for a long time. Once you get over side effects retirement is great. You'll wonder how you found the time to go to work.
Can you wear an Hawaiian shirt on your last day? A flower lai or coconut bra would be nice accessories.
Albert has such a manic look in his eye.Hope the last two shifts are good ones to end on. The end is so close now. It must be a very odd feeling. I am sure there will be many stories to come from retirement.
That is his normal expression, he always looks surprised......he alsombroke that back leg badly as a youngsterband now cannot ed it properly
Albert has hypnotic eyes! Enjoy your last two shifts as a nurse. We will be here and waiting to read about all the new adventures you are about to embark on! :)

Albert looks so like our Jazz (but slimmer).I hope your last two shifts are wonderful. And your retirement even better.
Albert is so sleek and shiny! I hope he can best the dragonfly!
Fantastic photo - shows sheer concentration in his eyes and is of course the reason they are so good at catching things.Happy retirement - sounds as though it is nearly here - although you do so many other things that you can't really say you have retired.
Albert's look is concentrated. All the best for your last two shifts, John. I bet there'll be a large tray of scotch eggs and champers as a send-off. Remember now your life begins in earnest. We look forward to many stories about this new chapter. xx
There may be mixed emotions as you head out the door after your last shift, but when the dust settles ... oh the freedom!! Wishing you uneventful last hours and a bit of a celebration as you're counting down the minutes at the end.
Enjoy the magic of these last days.
Will you be back there picking up a few extra bucks, filling in for folks on vacation? And--did you not just get windows? No screens came with?lizzy
I do like it when Dragonflies come indoors; a real sign of Summer.
SO happy for you! And for Albert... A dragonfly is so much more exciting than a month.
Rest well, work well, look to the future adventure
How thrilling for you!I love cats so much. Look at his leg all outstretched as if he was beginning a fashion photo shoot.
Love that cat from afar
Eagle Eyes On Alert!Looking forward to tomorrow's post!
