I wanted to write a few words, just a few today..
I'm sad that we are returning home tomorrow.
Yesterday, in between reading just four pages of my novel.....
I spent an entertaining three quarters of an hour watching a rather large lady in a chintz bathing costume eat an entire kilo of grapes.
She spat the pips out like a real pro
oh THAT must have been a sight to behold! sorry you have to return to the little village, but I bet the 4-foots have missed you.
ReplyDeleteI still want to see the 5 statuesque German girls...
ReplyDeletethey are oiling themselves up all together as I write this
DeleteIn the all together?
DeleteAs good as
DeleteI have been wondering about the term 'statuesque'.
DeleteWhile hello is not a bad greeting, the way the Spanish use olla makes it just the most wonderful greeting.
ReplyDeletei spelt it wrong as per
DeleteNo John - you got it right! Hola not olla. An olla is a ceramic jar, often unglazed, used for cooking stews or soups, for the storage of water or dry foods, or for other purposes.
DeleteI like the way you are supposed to get the attention of waiters - OYE! - but I've never been brave enough to use it.
DeleteI thought OYE! was for bullfighters.
Deletethat's OLE! for bullfighters, YP.
DeleteSorry. I didn't realise you were a bullfighting expert Anne Marie or should that read - bullshitting?
DeleteShe's obviously watching her weight as it could have been biscuits. lol

Memories are made of such things!
ReplyDeleteThere are particular artists who would paint her eating those grapes and we would all want to buy that painting :)
ReplyDeleteBotero comes to mind.

DeleteHola! A photo would have been good.
ReplyDeleteYou sound extremely bored ...
ReplyDeleteWhen you get home Albert will have left you some fresh kill on the living room carpet and just like that...you'll be back to normal.
ReplyDeleteHave you got your straw donkey yet? Don't leave it too late.
ReplyDeleteI could have used a few more days on the beach myself.
ReplyDeleteI've missed you in a way x
ReplyDeleteNever mind. You'll know when you're back home that nothing can beat being with your 'family' around you.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Hola , I just sent an email to a realtor in Argentina, all in Spanish ! Argentine Spanish .. I be proud of me .... :)
ReplyDeleteDo enjoy the moment while it lasts. What a great view from that photo. Warm greetings and happy July!
ReplyDeleteBet she can shit through the eye of a needle now!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed watching people on vacation. My summer has been full of mission work and weeks at camp with my grandson, Zayn. I can't believe July is almost here.
ReplyDeleteWell it was better than watching her eat Scotch (or should I say Spanish) eggs wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd you did NOT video this for us!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but your little holiday has gone way too quickly for my tastes!
ReplyDeleteOh the sights you have seen in the week at the beach!
ReplyDeleteBet there will be some "littles" lined up to greet you home.
That's the worst part of the holidays, leaving.
ReplyDeleteOr if you're a stay-at-home person like myself, it's the best part :)
LOL -- now there's a mental image.
