We've been in Liverpool all day.
When we got back home the dark clouds had replaced the blue skies and the sharp wind had stripped the caeonosus of it's blue flower blossoms and they now line the lane sides like blue confetti
We bought some pink flamingo lights in Liverpool! How gay is that?
We have yellow confetti from the Palo Verde trees. The flowers covers everything. I use to call it our summer snow but yellow snow means something else.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a small garden outside of a bathroom that I always wanted to cover in the standing pink flamingos. The x didn't want it. So hang the lights ! ! !
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
Delightful
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have a purple jacaranda that blankets my front yard and part of the street. Anything purple is good enough for moi. 💜
Not sure about the flamingo. Let's see how you put them to use.
Where are you going to hang the lights? X
ReplyDeleteI have the same as Linda .. purple jacaranda petals .. so so pretty.
ReplyDeleteA flamingo would go well with my jacarandas :)
I love it when the ground and sidewalks are decorated with flower petals!
ReplyDeleteYes, flamingo lights are pretty gay. And merry. And jolly too.
Pink flamingo lights sound darling. In the meantime, flower petal color is unbeatable.
ReplyDeleteSound like my mother ! She has pink flamingos ( plastic ) in her garden !
ReplyDeleteForgot to say, she is 88 and has no taste whatsoever , LOL xxx
ReplyDeleteIndoor or out?
ReplyDeleteIndoor of course!

DeleteIt's very gay, John (in the original sense of the word). Reminds me of, many years ago, when the Angel remarked "That is so gay". I am not exactly one to stand on political correctness but told him it might be an expression best avoided in public. "Mama, you don't understand", he said. Which is true.
ReplyDeleteU
It was a negative phrase until quite recently
DeleteFloral confetti is always a delight.
ReplyDeleteThe flamingo lights and yard flamingo are high florida kitz. In my town every once in awhile somebodies yard will get flamingo blasted. Which means a friend will leave a large flock of the birds in their yard. It is so tacky it is camp. Love it. I only have one.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely shot of Mary and the flower petals. The colours just work together somehow!
ReplyDeletePink flamingos are wonderfully silly.
Our blue sky is gone here, too... No wait! There it is! Nope, gone again. No pink flamingos. Just Eider. I wonder how gay Eider lights would be. Not very, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteLovely it is . . . petal confetti . .
ReplyDeleteCeanothus? California lilac?
ReplyDeleteYes liz
