Blog something and an animal will always prove you to be a liar.
Winnie deteriorated late morning and has been admitted to the surgery to be " physically optimised" before theatre tomorrow.
She was incredibly sanguine about the whole situation and checked each one of her fellow surgical patients before bedding down herself with a heavy sigh.
She was making tired moo moo eyes at the sweet receptionist as I left.
Got my fingers crossed for her !!

ReplyDeleteWell, hell and damnation, John; I'm so sorry to read this. I'll be thinking about you both tomorrow. Given the 5-hour time difference (I'm on the east coast of the US), I hope to read that Winnie came through the surgery with flying colors when I check your blog tomorrow. My very best wishes to all.
ReplyDeleteThe roller coaster of illness ... all we can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other and hope for a good outcome. I'll be thinking of her, and of you.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all and hoping for a quick operation, no complications and a speedy recovery to full health. ((HUGS)) to you all. xx ps. How's Albert doing?
ReplyDeleteI just got back home after 7 weeks and came here to catch up with all the children, and as I read about Winnie all I could think it was that medicine for them has moved so forward that she cannot be anything but healthy when things are done, and we will have years to enjoy her, even those of us who strangely enough think she is a very bit ours. Keep that thought, all of us I know would be thinking the same. And you hold on to your own wish and stop worrying. To worry about something is like a prayer for someting we don't want to happen, and goodness knows we all want Winnie home with you soon and well.
ReplyDeleteBless the wee lassie! Here's hoping you are both going to get through this without a hitch. You can do nothing but wait, yet the waiting is the hardest part!
ReplyDeleteWill be thinking of you all...x
