She's Home!

I knew things were going to be alright when I walked into the vets at teatime tonight.
Winnie was holding court behind the reception desk with the office staff and vets alike.
She was lapping up the attention like Bette Davis at a cocktail party!
" She has quite a fan club here" the Sweet receptionist told me
"And one around the world too!" I told her explaining Going Gently
" A dog on a blog" one of the vets chirped up.

Winnie saw me and sashayed over to say hello, moments later she led me to the exit with an impressively powerful pull. She wanted to go home.

And home we came.

  3. Such a relief to hear this! I'm sure she will be taken care of like a queen during her convalescence and just think - no more having to wear the Prof's undies ...! And no more risks of having a uterus. Whew!

  15. I've only been reading for a few weeks but when I was cooking my meal tonight I was thinking "oh I must check on Winnie!" So glad she's home safely. My little black schnauzer Lucy, (who actually looks a bit like George) was spayed at six months and that was traumatic enough even though it was planned. We sure do love our fur babies! X for Winnie.

  77. Well, it was about time. She has been missed more than I was during those seven weeks at the Hospital (that is not true at least by what they tell me but who knows with humans?) Happy for her, for you and the prof, for everyone here and all the ones who have been worrying, thinking or praying and happy for me as well, you know who and she are my two favorites, just don't tell the rest. Don't allow anyone in any uniform to come to the house until after she is totally capable to survive the emotion. Just a little prevention.
