The Walking Dead Returns!

The lovely Jesus

Mondays are now back to normal.
The Walking Dead has returned for the next two months or so!
Finally "team Rick" is more or less back together.
Carol is still been relegated to the shack in the woods, but her absence  has made space for the new characters of Jesus ( Tom Payne) Ezekiel ( Khary Payton) and others  to get some sort of foothold amid the two dozen characters that now need to be juggled within the Saviour threat
narrative.
It's interesting to note that Jesus is reported to be another gay character.
That makes four gays in " team rick" !!!!
perhaps homos do well in zombie apocalypses?

The strength of The Walking Dead lies in the " The community against the world" storyline.
Thank goodness we are now getting back to the formula that has always served the series so well over the years.

  2. John, you and I know, that herd of zombies wouldn't be down unless they mowed down their heads. I hope the tiger goes after Negan.

  4. Great episode back, was SO happy to see the group back together (well, more or less back together, come on Carol!).

It's going to be an epic rest of the season but I'm afraid it's not going to be without some loss...sigh....

  6. Enjoy. I only saw the first series.
When I worked in Israel, the man who ran the bar looked like Jesus; it was such a giggle ordering glass of wine from him. ( He was actually a very sweet talented artist from Orkney !)

  8. I have taped it to be savoured later. I agree with everything you say about "team Rick" getting back together and strengthening their community against the world once more and Carol still out in the wilderness but you never know!

I have been lurking here for a while but have now book marked you and decided it was time to start joining in. I have been enjoying your entertaining posts and the wealth of equally entertaining comments. I am a passionate chicken keeper by the way so I also get the whole animal magic too.

  9. Thank you for the welcome. Daryl and Carol are my favourite characters but I didn't like to say as we have the same name. My blog name is "Chicken Carol" of Carol's Chickens if you ever want to check in.
