28 Years Later

I am having lunch with an old friend this afternoon.
We have not seen each other for twenty eight years.
I had just started my first staff nurse posting at the Mother and Baby unit at Bootham Park Psychiatric Hospital in York and Cheryl was a student nurse.
She lived down the corridor at the nurses home.
I'm a little nervous in one way about meeting up.
I am not that svelte gauche unopinionated  character that I used to be
Hey ho

She will know about you from your blog. All will be fine, assuming you live up to your blog persona. I can believe you were once svelte and gauche. Unopinionated I struggle with. Interesting. There are some people from years ago in my life I would like to know about and perhaps meet.

  11. It'll be fine!! My husband and I met up with friends that we had not seen for 30 years last September. Yes things had changed and were different (our children all grown up now) but we got on like a house on fire and the years disappeared. It was so lovely to catch up - enjoy!

  15. Are you the fellow in the middle of the back row? The one with the tash? Were you wearing a white coat because you went round York pubs selling seafood in your spare time? I hope all goes well with Cheryl but I can appreciate your slight sense of trepidation. I bet you have a laugh recalling old times.

Could be you both changed a bit, doubtful the camaraderie has. I hope you enjoy the time!
