The postman woke me up around 1pm
No, he didn't creep up the stairs to whisper sweet nothings into my slumbering ear!
He just knocked on the door, setting off a chain reaction of hysteria amongst the animals.
" A gift from one of your blog readers!" He told me authoritatively
He seems to know me so well.
He was right! It was a late Christmas gift from Jan in Australia.
I've only had a few hours sleep.
I am back at work later.
Snow is on the way
But it made me smile!
Thank you

ReplyDeleteFor a split-moment I was dreading that Winnie had gone solo-walkies again - but what you got is almost as sweet as she is. (Oh, those heatwave Noels in Oz!)

ReplyDeleteWhen I was sleeping after a night shift I always had a note on the door threatening terrible things if anyone dared to knock. The consequences were on a sliding scale based on the tone of the preceeding shift. Sadly, creating it could be the high point of my waking hours.

What a lovely gift - too good to put on the tree. I'd keep it as an ornament, and a constant reminder of the super holiday you had in Oz.

ReplyDeleteGood to see Santa having a well-earned rest after his Christmas exertions. But where are the elves? Don't tell me they're still slaving away on 2017 presents while Santa puts his feet up.
ReplyDeleteOnya Jan!
