The Family " Prof"
Home tomorrow...
It's all been very nice indeed and the sight of watching Sorrel with a dentist's speculum in her mouth playing " speak up" ( I'm banned from showing you the photograps but if you email me, I'll give you a sneak peak) was well worth the coast of the rail journey alone.
I shall leave you with some photographs of The Prof's auntie's Christmas village....and finally Sorrel and I at the dinner table
It will be the last time I mention the fucking season until December 2017.
Ps my nephew Leo now has his own film review blog

I love the Christmas village. Is Santa in a boat? Lol!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful village
ReplyDeleteSo fun, love the village.
ReplyDeleteI know that game and it is gross but gross fun.
cheers, parsnip
Cheers and happy homecoming!
ReplyDeleteYou look slightly manic in that photo.
ReplyDeletePlease advise when "the fucking season" or "rut" is for human beings? Is it the same as for red deer - mid September to late October - even in Rhyl?
ReplyDeleteMy thought precisely. When I was a frisky youngster (sigh!) it was all year round.
DeleteI notice from your blog profile that you are an animal lover Ray. Did that include badgers?
DeleteNow you come to mention it, Y.P., yes indeed. Preference is for warm and cuddly though, for own welfare, tendencies to nip will keep them at arms-length.
DeleteApart from the wine still plenty of am quite happy to say its all over.
ReplyDeleteLovely to visit, but so nice to get home!
ReplyDeleteI love the village (we too, have one). Did you play "Speak up"? Did anyone guess what you were saying? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteHome will be welcome...
ReplyDeleteThose speculum/speculi? remind me of Hannibal Lechter for some reason. East, West, Home is Best. Glad Tidings to you my friend. xxx
ReplyDeleteawwww, all y'all look so festive! but it will be nice to get home to the fur/feather kids!
ReplyDeleteHappy and Festive, what it all should be about .. I don't want to imagine a speculum ... anywhere ...
ReplyDeleteYou folks know how to have fun :)
ReplyDeleteNow that's what we call a Christmas village! With lights and everything! Thank you for posting. You all look like a fun bunch!
ReplyDeleteWhy not 'Leofilmreviews', or was that already taken?
ReplyDeleteRed is your color John and Speak Up was played by my family this Christmas. Lots of wetting ourselves I must say, or maybe it was just me. Hysterical game.
ReplyDeleteWill Winnie will be pleased to see you...
ReplyDeleteLove those rosy cheeks!
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x
We have the props & no one used them ! Still have family here & still have 25th wedding anniversary to celebrate. NOT doing anything on New Year's eve but curl op on the sofa & watch TV !
ReplyDeleteOnly 2 out of 13 volunteered to do the dentist mouth thing so we didn't actually play it......thank God....totally gross
ReplyDeleteTrelawnyd will have the flags out for you. Either "welcome home" or warning "John is Back"
The village is spectacular...and so are the spectacles.
ReplyDeleteI love that family photo. Am I mistaken or is the Prof cooperating for the camera?!? I really might need to start my own Christmas village. This is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures!!!! But as I said, I can't understand that with the hats and spectacles....But John, about that blog, I can't find it!! It won't connect and when I google the address I only find "The full monty" and although it's a great film, it wasn't what I wanted!!!
