Little Black Dress

Well, I've taken your advice and have rung in sick tonight.
I slept through the Carol service at the Church ( I was on the sofa and not in a pew) but at least I retrieved the Christmas Tree from the Church basement for Gaynor the mad organist this morning as requested.
I missed out of watching Liv and Eve ( The Affable despot kids) at their extravaganzas at the village hall yesterday too!
This was a disappointment as when I walked the dogs in the afternoon, I spied the schoolchildren in crocodile formation walking back to school after their dress rehearsal.
I don't quite know the " level" of their production but I was intrigued to notice that one of the older boys was  tottering back to school in a beehive wig, little black dress and high heel shoes!
I await Jason and Claire to enlighten me!
Heyho

  3. "Lights, Camel Action !"? I shudder to think, so yes, enlightenment would be a good thing here too ! Whatever happened to "A Christmas Story" - the traditional version?
Hope you're feeling better - shame you missed all the fun !

  4. I love it !
What a clever way to get the school children excited about a Christmas show.
Your village sounds like so much fun sometimes.
Sometimes you just have to stay home and take care of yourself.

    cheers, parsnip

  7. If it's the ''Lights, Camel, Action' my grandchildren's school performed, it is the Christmas Story, in a Strictly setting. But there were no ugly sisters, in our version.

  9. Hi John, Whilst listening to Radio 4 at lunchtime today a Mrs Trellis from North Wales was mentioned on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and wondered whether it was the same one from Trelawynd. I adore your blog, by the way!

  15. John - you really must take it easy and rest - you do far too much and I don't want to read about you being ill over Christmas.

  16. Can't wait to learn what was going on with that costume (if that's what it was), but I was so disappointed to not arrive here to see YOU in a little black dress!

  17. Hope you're feeling better now.

School plays were never as much fun when my two were in them .... mind you one year one of the children who was dressed as a Christmas present (in a big box with just his head and arms sticking out) fell off the low stage and had to be helped up again, it gave the audience a really good laugh as he was laughing hysterically and struggling like a upturned tortoise to get back to his feet. Oh and thinking about it another year there were two children dressed as satellites in the Nativity ... no, us parents didn't know what that was all about either!! So maybe they were a bit more interesting than I first thought :-)

  18. unlike potatoes, rice, or different suitable bodybuilding carbs, you could easily take dry, ready-to-consume oats with you everywhere you go. whilst you must no longer awareness your price range on supplements, whey protein is one of the nice investments you could make on your physique. http://musclegainfast.com/ef13-muscle-supplement/
