Off out to get the Prof's sticking fillers
Hey ho
I see you and the prof have selected a tasteful holiday card this year. ;-b
ReplyDeleteDear John, I want to wish you, the Prof and your loved one a Happy and Peaceful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your festive season. Thank you for sharing your funny, happy (sometimes also not so happy), moments with us. Thank you. A big hug.
Greetings Maria xxx
p.s. what are sticking fillers, please? x
DeleteStocking fillers.
DeleteOh, haha, silly me! I even tried to Google it - thank you Rachel! X
DeleteSticking fillers are the good kind. The ones that don't stick fall out at unpredictable times and can cause embarrassment.
DeleteI do hope those 'sticking' fillers for the Prof are not going to be sticking to the Christmas pudding.
ReplyDeleteWith all of the last minute details, don't forget a nice bottle of Gin, for the guy who makes it all happen.
ReplyDeleteNew spell checker for self !!! Have a great time over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove to you and all. x
Wishing you a Merry Christmas a few days early.
ReplyDeleteOur travelers begin to fly in today . . . more on Saturday . . .
I say . . .
Hey Ho Ho Ho . . .
How nice to be able to check things off your list. Are your stocking gifts candy? things from the Pound Store? (is that what you call it?) actual little things that you will use and appreciate? I find it difficult to find things for "male" stockings in our family, but it's so easy to pick out things for my daughter. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteGreat card ;) I wasn't going to mention the 'Sticking fillers', but as others did.....
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha, my first laugh of the morning!
ReplyDeleteYour sticking filler has even my innocent mind imagining "scenarios" and laughing out loud. My dear John, please do leave off the super glue, won't you.
ReplyDeleteA very merry run up to happy days ahead,
U
It's certainly that glorious time of the year.
ReplyDeleteBest Christmas wishes to you and the Prof, and the rest of your dear ones.
Plenty of ticks in Trelawnyd. I think you need special tweezers to remove them. What's a sticking filler? Something like "Polyfilla"?
ReplyDeleteHow did your tasteful gift at work go over? Did she like it? Are you on speaking terms again?
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of ticks! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of sticking fillers did you buy? Love that term, and may adopt it.
ReplyDeleteawwww The Christmas rush, then collapse in a stupor of mince pie and drink !
ReplyDeleteHave a Lovely Holiday.
cheers, parsnip
I bet Prof looks fetching in stickings or should I say stockings :)
ReplyDeleteYou're a right, jolly, old elf. I quote that directly from the poem.
ReplyDeleteTip of the hat to all for recommending Holiday Affair as a Christmas movie. I acquired more respect and appreciation for Robert Mitchum after watching an interview he did with Dick Cavett maybe from the late 60's or early 70's. He was intelligent, well spoken, smoked unconsciously and wore dark glasses. The movie was new to us and very enjoyable to watch. Sort of mimicked Miracle on 34th Street, another favorite I forgot to mention.
And I heard John exclaim as he rode out of sight "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!"
Robert mitchum was an actor i adored.....masculine, funny, sexy, attractive and talented.......hello!
