Apologies to Chris, and no disrespect intended.....
That's why we with a actual MD refer to them as 'not a real doctor'
    Meant harmlessly

  5. I know when it's going to be a cold night (for us, anyway) when I go to shut up the henhouse and Mick the rooster has many hens grouped right around him. Generally, only his old favorite, the ancient Miss Trixie sleeps next to him. Also, when Maurice my cat comes in to sleep with me. All I am is a breathing heating pad for that cat.

  6. Glad that Camilla is okay. -6C, that's like 21.6F, yep, that's chilly. We've had it get down there at least twice already. Brrr!

I've experienced zero degrees but nothing lower than that and minus 6 is hard for me to comprehend.

  8. A Cannuk, eh?
I think the Prof does not want to be in charge of the thermostat.

  9. Do Irene and Sylvia have a shed or some kind of shelter for very cold weather? I m so glad Camilla is okay.
Is it sort of cute when someone as smart as the Prof can't manage simple household chores..or is it secretly annoying?

  13. Do you want to start a competition of what our Prof's can't figure out? I might win, but then I've been married to mine for 40 years! The alarm system ... the clock on the car (hence his car shows the correct time for 6 months of the year!) ... the automatic on the oven ... no, I think I'll stop. Suffice it to say, I sympathise, and fully understand your problem!

  15. Good news about Camilla and good ewes (sorry) about the sheep coping with the weather. Heading into a big fat summer here. Missing the bracing cold of our southern tablelands.

  16. -6ยบ - brrr - that's very nippy. Hope that Irene and Sylvia have a nice warm scarf and bobble hat for when it gets really cold.
Pleased to hear that Camilla is OK - she's a game old bird....

  20. Glad Camilla is okay.

Haha ... the Prof sounds more and more like my Lovely Hubby every day. LH is in charge of very sensitive and complicated defence things ... can say no more ... but he can't work the remote control for our Freesat tv box ;-)
