Changing The Subject

Changing the subject
The Prof has always wanted me to be able to dance with him
I have two left feet
I wish I hadn't
I am very aware he used to be a professional dancer in his youth

But I am sure that One day we will dance together like Fred & Ginger

Just the once

  3. Oh John Gray! That is so sweet. Can you take lessons sometime? It is wonderful to be able to dance with your love. My husband and I used to love to dance together. Don't wait too long! Two left feet is one thing but add in aging hips and crotchety knees and, well- do it now!

  7. You might be surprised at how you'd get on. My husband always thought he had two left feet, too. Then we took ballroom dancing lessons and he was better at it because he paid attention to the counting and the instructions, whereas I had rhythm but got all balled up trying to keep left, right, sideways and the damn counting all straight in my head at once. My point is, you just never know until you try it.

  9. Get lessons and surprise him. It is something I would love to do with my hubby but we both have too many other activities on the go at the moment.

Even the most hopeless can achieve a certain level, maybe not the standard in the clip, but adequate. I too used to dance when I was young and it is great fun.

  11. Work out just one dance routine, and stick with that. The more you perfect it, the more people will be amazed.

  12. You have told us before that he was a professional dancer. He had a big career change at some point in his life did he not. Very interesting. I hope you get to dance with him as you want one day.

  13. I know this sounds really dumb, but you can learn. People seem to think dancing comes naturally to some and it doesn't to you then you can't. I went to ballroom classes for a while and I was bloody terrible, but I did get better with practice. And if a huge lummox like me with fallen arches and bad knees can do it, so can you! xo

  14. We used to go to barn dance fund raisers at the kids' primary school & husband could not tell his left from his right so we started calling out " Port - Starboard !"
Have some fun learning to dance John x

  16. I love that style of dance. Don't think it was filmed in N.Wales somehow! You could have a little try in the house by yourself, but don't frighten the dogs!

As for me, I feel that someone is dancing on my grave, What happened to our Country tonight feels like a death in the family.

  20. Post lots of perky, chirpy, funny stuff, the world is going to need all it can get. I love the dancing scene in Zorba the Greek.

  21. My daughter and son-in-law took dance lessons before their wedding. She had been dancing for more than twenty years but he was a novice. Their wedding dance brought the house down and there wasn't a dry female eye in the house - she was graceful and elegant, he was rubbish but everybody knew that he had done it for her. x

  23. Just to be helpful, I'm giving you this link to The North Wales School of Dancing in Rhyl. You could take secret lessons while Chris is professoring and then surprise him on the floor of The Memorial Hall at next year's flower show:-
