Tonight I re watched the opening ceremony of the London Olympics
I cried buckets, it was so good.
Wrung out I pleased myself afterwards by finding a new ( and indeed better use) for a fairly useless Garfield which I had been given nearly 40 years ago
I am thinking of making a regular feature called Handy Hints!

At first glance a vintage Garfield
Look again!
The perfect ipad holder!
nice repurpose! he could probably hold a cookbook too (open to the lasagna page, of course)!
ReplyDeleteVery clever! but I can't bear to think of Garfield not being able to see anything but the back side of the iPad ...
ReplyDeleteI hate Garfield. I would have thrown that thing out decades ago.
ReplyDeleteWhy dearheart

ReplyDeleteCool.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a 'Garfield'?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!x
ReplyDeletegreat idea. I gave husband Garfield over twenty years ago. They went sailing together on a charter boat in Antigua. The cook used to hide Garfield all over the place.. in the oven, up the mast, hanging in a bucket overboard, in the engine room. Great memories x
ReplyDeleteHave an old teddy who would easily stand in for Garfield - don't have an I pad!
ReplyDeleteThat opening ceremony - all done with video mapping! Having done a bit myself, I think that the 3D effect of rising buildings would only have been effective when viewed from one point - the camera's point - so I am guessing that the rest of the stadium did not know what was going on.
ReplyDeleteI bet you could sell that Garfield on eBay! You're the second person to mention re-watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I didn't even see them the first time around, but I guess I should. I loved the London ones, I remember.
ReplyDeleteOh, you were talking about the London ones! Missed that!
DeleteGarfield would most enjoy being in the kitchen
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteHandy indeed!
