My mother passed away ten days ago after I took care of her. 13 days at the palliative care. Spent every night with her, going back home only to shower and sleep 5-6 hours before going back to the hospital. Was with her until her last breath. Can you beat that!
Gladiator was on the TV last night. Did you tape it by any chance? Else if you have sky it is probably on demand. Go get a Russell Crowe fix.
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
don't feel like a "stranger" though ... :) On a beautiful Oct Sunday, I woke up to a sound .. my husband said he was dying .. he did. I moved to Florida a few months ago to be near one of my children and out of the world of long snowy winters .. where my daughter and mom lived, a few days after I arrived, my mom died. There is comfort but not really, you just have to get through the days and better ones come along. Hang on to that .. a sh*t day is just a day .. if the important stuff is still there, you can deal with it. The Professor and the pups/cat are there .. life is still good.
I know the feeling. Something always lets you down when you're trying to make a good impression. Like that bit of kale unknowingly stuck between your teeth.
Shit day, shit return home , shit day
