One of my guilty purchases
We are in Liverpool. The Prof and his mum are shopping, I was going to the Tate Gallery but it's shut! So whilst the others are giving Zara a bashing, I have done what any self respecting gay man over forty does,I have had to settle for the soft furnishings department of John Lewis.......
Let it be known now,and I am out and proud......... I love nice cushions!
There I've said it!
All cushioned out.......I had a doze at Albert Dock
This shopping lark is hard work
SWEET! I could only like it better if it had bees.
ReplyDeleteVery nice choice of a pillow!
ReplyDeleteYou could see the other one!
DeleteMy husband would either participate in the spree or find a nice place to have a glass of wine and wait .. we both enjoyed shopping together :)
ReplyDeleteI love that pillow !!
Love the seagull cushion!
ReplyDeleteDo rest up, John. Between the shopping and dog snot removal you must be tired!
That cushion is lovely. Let's hope that Winnie doesn't take a fancy to it!
ReplyDeleteOr Mary.
DeleteOh my,I can see the title now "The Cushion of Sex."
DeleteCute! Yes, shopping is very hard.
ReplyDeleteliverpool looks nice, as does the cushion.
ReplyDeleteI am not a cushion person but I believe it's because I've never seen an awesome one like that. Must go investigate the cushion section of the nearest store to see if things have improved from 25 years ago.
ReplyDeleteA person can never have too many cushions.
ReplyDeleteToo few just makes the sofa look mean.
Absolutely .. cushions invite you to sit down, get cozy .. stay awhile.
DeleteLush. Nearly have cushion envy. Would be v. good for my seaside home except it might remind me of real live devil spawn that seagulls are round here x

ReplyDeleteI'm not over keen on shopping generally, but I have to say that I could bankrupt myself in the soft furnishings department of John Lewis.

ReplyDeleteShopping for anything fills me with horror John. But I quite fancy the idea of a quiet doze on that Albert Dock. It is years since I went there but not a lot looks to have changed. Only the water looks much bluer!!
ReplyDeleteLovely birdy cushion. I have a soft spot for pretty cushions so I enjoyed shopping with you today. xx
ReplyDeleteCute cushion. Are they puffins?
ReplyDeleteWell I am so they should be
DeleteI love cushions. My black poodle loved to snuggle along the couches and push all the cushions off. They always end up on the floor .
ReplyDeletePlus, cushions give Winnie something to hump other than the fluffy slippers, or is she a monogamous humper? :)
ReplyDeleteA snooze with the Yellow Submarine in view; Liverpool personified.
ReplyDeleteNow 'I ran/I ran so far awaaayyy' is playing in my head. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a smart cushion? mine are mostly covered in cat hair now.......
ReplyDeleteLove the cushion! Happy and Blessed Easter to you, The Prof and mum in law!
ReplyDeleteNice cushion, is it Linen? I LOVE linen!
ReplyDeleteI definitely would have preferred to be in JL looking at cushions with you!! Love the new cushion you chose, bet the dogs will too!
ReplyDeleteI was in Waitrose in Chester this morning, half expected to see you!
ReplyDeleteStarted the shopping in the right way, with a bacon filled ciabatta and a latte!
I love visiting the Tate at Albert Dock, it's such fun listening to people 'knowing' what the artist was trying to portray!
I recommend a day spent at the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, Wirral, the best collection of stunningly beautiful Pre-Raphaelite paintings you're ever likely to see!
That picture of Albert Dock wasn't taken today was it? If it had the water and sky would have been grey and miserable!
How funny that you're in Liverpool! I'm coming to Liverpool on Thursday! I'll have to check out those John Lewis cushions. I kinda love those seagulls. :)
ReplyDeleteI never really see the point of cushions....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cushion.
ReplyDeleteI've just recently gotten into whimsical cushions! They add a nice splash of color for a little investment. I do like the birds, like an ode to Hitchcock.
ReplyDeleteA self respecting gay man's gotta do, what a self respecting gay man's gotta do, and I don't think anyone would disagree with you! :-)
ReplyDeleteAlbert Dock - I know it well. Jenny and I have stayed at the Premier Inn a couple of times. Absurd that the Tate is closed on a public holiday when everyone wants a little outing. What are they playing at?
ReplyDeleteDear Lord...as a lifelong embroidered my heart goes out to the poor soul who made all those French knots!!!
