What cuties!! Who knew when this was taken that you'd live with "20 individual pet feet, in a rain sodden village in a home that could spring out of the pages of Homes and Gardens" and married to a handsome Professor! :-)!!
. . . . . you're both wearing Clarks 'Joyance' crepe-soled T-bar sandals aren't you? All English kids wore them from 1933-1972 - remember how comfortable they were? I loved them, and yes my brother wore them too!
Reminds me of a quaint old barometer my grandmother had, so probably dating back to the 1920s or 30s, maybe even earlier. When fine weather was forecast an innocently smiling tiny girl would come out of a little door. When otherwise, a little boy with mischievous naughty grin appear out of another. All very un-PC for these days, of course. (Not that there was then the slightest hint of the 'Damien' about the infant you!).
Your skirt looks a little big on you !!!!!! haha A wonderful photograph ....... are you and your sister really close ? ..... you look BFF's in that photo. XXXX
Awww that is really cute. I won't be posting a photo as my mother has all of the old family pictures. Even my kids haven't seen a photo of me when I was little.
okay...cute beyond posing! Genuine cuteness...acute cuteness even - here's the question - It's obvious that Janet was looking at the camera/photographer - who/what were YOU looking at? You were happy about it, maybe even happier than Janet - who looks a bit agreeably tentative. (love those shoes - I remember a pair like that in red)
The world's adorableness had obviously all been sucked up into you too. I'm not kidding.

ReplyDeleteYou both look adorable ! Bet your mum cried as she waved you off.
ReplyDeleteJust the words "Janet and John" remind me of Terry Wogan creasing up with laughter on Radio 2.
