Cards

Our postman gave me a cheery wave yesterday and waved this Christmas card through the window.
" kids!" He chuckled.
Thank you to all of the bloggers that that taken the time and effort in sending me a card......
This one by Rachel.......made my day.
It gave the post office a chuckle too

  8. Brilliant. I love the scotch eggs and the pooing animals :-)

Made my envelope with your proper address look very poor in comparison, I must try harder!!

I have to get more creative with my addressing. John Grey, hard by the church wall and the Ukranian Village, Trewlaynd with a view of the Gop, Wales.

  11. Only two of the animals are pooping? That's not right!

  12. The things I do when I'm at work. The postman got it right, I never really grew up. Glad you liked it John and everybody else. It is more fun than actually knowing the address.

  13. John, you must frame this one!
Rachel should get a contract with Hallmark cards - her non-traditional, yet highly impressive, 'cottage garden' scenes could fill a gap! Can't wait to see what she comes up with for other holidays. What fun. Rachel is amazing.

    Happy Christmas from North Carolina.

    2. And yet you can be amazing without really trying, Rachel. Is there no end to your talents? =)

  17. That's odd. I addressed your card to "The Nice Man of Trelawnyd in the house by the church with the randy old bulldog," which I thought would be foolproof; but it was returned to sender with a note saying "There are only two grumpy old gits living here now." Ah well, Merry Solstice when it comes.

  20. How precious the picture is, poop and all. And also, makes my heart feel warm that the address, "House by the Church" gets the mail to you.

  21. Nice one ! I recognised Rachel's artwork as soon as I saw the picture - it's so distinctive. It's an idea to frame it John, it may be worth a fortune one day ! Surprised some miserable so and so, in the spirit of Political correctness, didn't refuse to mail it on !

  24. And yet we still get other houses post coming through our letterbox and ours frequently goes astray! Perhaps the Welsh postal service is better than in England!

  27. Guess I've been trying to send mail in the USA all wrong... postal service loses, rips up or otherwise maims darned near everything I send. I'm gonna try Rachels method... at least you get your mail. Love it!
