Well, you'll get a kick out of this - I was in Atlanta visiting my daughter and SIL Saturday night, and we had dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant. It was very crowded and one of those situations where the seating on one side of the table is a banquette, and the table next to you is only about 18 inches from the side of yours. So two women came in and got seated next to us, one next to my daughter on the banquette and the other right to my side in a chair. They were very casually dressed, and kind of stood out because they were a bit sloppy, wearing no makeup, hair not done etc, while everyone else was dressed for a nice dinner out. I didn't pay them any more attention. Mid-way through dinner, the waiter started asking them "where they were in the season of the show". I thought they were talking about a show they all watch. After a minute, my daughter got a funny look on her face, and texted me "that's Maggie and Rosita from the Walking Dead!". Well, I immediately was like "Where??" and looking around, and she said "right next to us!" I replied "no way" - even after I knew it was them I still couldn't believe it; "Maggie's" hair was cut pretty short and choppy, and she had on big glasses, "Rosita's" hair was a mess, and they both had very bad complexions. Just goes to show what nice hair and makeup can do for you! I guess dressing down like that works for them though, because I never would have looked twice at them if it hadn't been for the waiter. Just before we left "Maggie" was asking the waiter (apparently they go there a lot) if he wanted to see a picture of "the baby" on her phone - I think she meant her baby on the show...
I knew it!!! Some people are thinking it was a cop out, the way he survived, but I can see it. It's not that different than the other miraculous escapes over the seasons...
Not sure what's going to happen with the wall coming down...time to leave Alexandria and move on? But remember, Daryl, Abe and whats her name are coming with a fuel truck....and shoulder rockets. :-)
Must admit that until I started reading your blog, John, I'd never heard of the programme. I rarely watch TV and never go to the cinema, so your comments are enough to keep me updated with what's on !
I really thought Glenn was dead but am quite happy that I was wrong. Next week looks good. Will Daryl, Sasha and Abraham arrive in time to launch rockets at the herd?
Mid-Season Finales ..... another American 'thing' I hope we don't start over here, why, why, why when you are just getting into a series would they vanish for a couple of months. Lazy oinks get back to work make the rest of the episodes!!
Do you listen to The Talking Dead podcast? You can get it buy downloading the Podcasts app on your iPad. I only discovered it this week but I'm hooked already :-)
