Mary has been bouncy all day.
She has been working on Winifred's Ice cold indifference
with the gusto of an Olympic champion.
Just as things were winding down for the day,
And in the glow of the log burner during The Archers
The two finally made friends on the living room carpet
Glad to hear it. I hope Albert remains Winnie's special friend though...
ReplyDeleteohgod is there anything cuter ??? noooo there is not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this .. today ... at this time ... it was like a balm ... you know balms :)
I want a puppy so bad now.
Awwwwwww! Mary certainly has no fear! Can't wait to see if the other two thaw as well!!
ReplyDeleteWell George is sleeping with her right now ( not Biblically)
DeleteI always found that sleeping with her/him was a good start lol.
DeleteWith all the exercise Winnie will soon be losing weight!
ReplyDeleteThat was making friends?
ReplyDeleteYou are a cat women...yes......its friends in bitch speech
DeleteI was thinking the same as Rachel, but being another cat person (well all animals really, though cats above all) I'll take your word for it that friendship has blossomed - and I'm mighty glad that it's happened.
DeleteNow the girls can share secrets! Would love to be at your house.
ReplyDeletewee mary has a good strong voice; nice to see winnie make a new friend!
ReplyDeleteSo very Cute!love it!☺
ReplyDeleteAh yes,. . . The Waltons, Mary Ellen and Erin. That did not take long, did it ? I can remember asking big brother of 11 to hold little sister of 6 days, while I got something from the kitchen. When I quietly looked in the room, big brother was kissing little sister on the head very, very gently. Alls well that ends well. love Andie xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's a fact, older dogs, generally, will let puppies get away with murder....fortunately.....
ReplyDeleteWell done Winnie. And what a splendid photograph of Mary and you John.
ReplyDeleteDidn't look like Winnie was "making friends" to me, apart from when she got her arse sniffed and you could see her pause for just a moment to ponder the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteA labia moment x
DeleteSo cute. They'll be best buds before long.
ReplyDeleteOld dogs rule, the youthful energy!
ReplyDeleteLove it. Now I wonder if they'll start playing biteyface...Winnie could put Mary's whole head in her mouth!!
ReplyDeleteIt was as if Mary and Winnie were dancing to "The Archers" theme music but you should dress them in Morris dancer outfits next time! "La-la-lal La-lal-la-La..."
ReplyDeleteThe visual that came with Morris Dancing has me sitting here giggling. La Lalalala ..
ReplyDeleteThe joys of a balanced home! The sheer exuberance of a puppy does liven things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteBulldogs always make me think of Winston Churchill, a man I admired very much, and I have no idea why. So if I am ever graced with an English Bull I imagine it's name will be Churchill.
What a blessed life you have.
Gail, my friend in Scotland named her Old English Sheepdog, Winston :)
DeleteLove blossoms!
ReplyDeleteI just knew Winnie would be fine! Love is in the air in Trelawnyd (as well as a few drag queens down at the village pub).
ReplyDeleteWell that didn't take long !
ReplyDeleteOlder Gud Dug usually let puppies get away with a lot !
Mine always did.
cheers, parsnip
Especially puppies that don't stop moving ... fast . :) She is just zooming around poor Winnie..
DeleteErrr ... that didn't look like making friends to me! Maybe after the camera was off?
ReplyDeletePoor Winnie, she didn't have a chance from the moment go with that charmer. She is adorable, she knows it, and she is going to play that card first with you as she already has, and then with the female queen to bid her favor. You go Mary!
ReplyDeleteAnd you captured it! Good ol' Winnie's gonna get a few pounds run off her in the end. Watch them become BFFs now, giggling together in the corner and throwing you saucy looks.
ReplyDeleteI wish you many joyful times with your little Lady Mary! Glad to see that everyone is starting to accept the mite.
ReplyDeleteToo funny for words! What a delightful little character Mary is. You're going to have lots of laughs with her !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ! They will be snuggled up together pretty soon.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about Winnie losing those extra kilos, but Mary certainly won't put on any weight at that speed !
ReplyDeleteThat was just so lovely to see! I have a huge smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteJust so lovely, you've made me ahhhh again.
ReplyDeleteBriony
x
I loved that . Dear little Mary and Winnie as cute as ever.
ReplyDeleteOh the energy of a puppy, but I don't think I could cope with it again. The next dog will be an older rescue dog I think, nothing could replace Charley.
ReplyDeleteSuky met up with a lovely Bulldog in the park near Mum's the other day, they got on like a house on fire it was lovely to see.
So lovely to see! I wish our other 2 at home would melt as quickly as Winnie. Its been 6 weeks and we are slow going. Being spoiled makes for bad company....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they're becoming friends. Mary's a firecracker, and her bark made me smile.
ReplyDeleteShe is a pip that little Mary. Perhaps Winnie will take her under her wing and teach her the ways of the cottage. :)
