Tomato Football

Well apologies for the depressive nature of the last post
I shall leave you on a brighter note.
I was just watching tv ( The Kenneth Williams' Interviews)
when a commotion in the kitchen got my attention
Albert, Winnie and George were running around playing with
a dropped cherry tomato donated by Pat the animal helper.
against all odds after 20 minutes George won
He brought it back to me and dropped it on the rug with an exhausted smile

  1. Please don't ever apologize for writing about painful subjects. That's real life, just as are cherry-tomato-gift-giving dogs.
You write about all of it just beautifully.

  5. Where is your video recorder when you need it ?
Sometimes I hear the scurry of little feet but that is just one young cat and one very old cat, playing with a small toy , a piece of paper, a paper clip .. cats have active imaginations when it comes to being able to play with anything .. at 5 am. . deargodletmesleep !!!

  7. That was one tomato with real fortitude to have survived a scrum like that. I'm amazed it was even recognizable.

  10. It being Albert, George and Winnie, George took it upon himself to rescue it, not eat it.

  11. What a wonderful thing to witness. You are well loved. The proof is in the tomato.

Never apologize for your writing. It is always wonderful even with tits and ass smudges.

  12. That is too funny!

Please, we should all be so prepared. I am embarrassed that I still do not have my will or health directives notarized. Both are done, sort of, I can't decide if I want to be cremated or buried. LOL

  17. I'm surprised the tomato survived long enough for the victor to present it to Dad, in our house it would have been gobbled up by Mavis 30 seconds into the game :-)

Don't ever apologise for writing a mixed and varied blog, that's why we all call round so often.

  18. It wouldn't have lasted longer than 10 seconds if it had been a dropped sausage.

My sister has caught her miniature Schnauzer helping himself to cherry tomatoes off the vine.
