Our breeder refused two couples that wanted her last week.......she said it was fate we asked for her when she did She described Mary as a " gentle quiet soul"
Only 200 miles? Our middle pup involved a 1200 mile round trip by road plus four ferries....a highland road blocked by landslip, a ridiculous 100 mile diversion on barely passable tracks and a high speed dash for a nearly missed ferry....you couldn't make it up....next time I'm getting tropical fish....
I should have been there by now but first I didn't know how to add the counter thingy and then I kept changing the style without keeping my number. Sounds like a good excuse, doesn't it?
That would be...thanks for what you do...not kiss, although that may be appropriate too. I accidentally clicked on that "don't track you own pageviews" thing >>?
I love your blog. My husband often knows that I am reading one of your posts because he hears me laughing from the other room. As a relatively new and unknown blogger I get a thrill when I find out one person has left a comment! Don't know what I'd do with 2.7 million page views! -Jenn
Congratulations ... even if all the little old ladies in the village voted for you more than once :D I have coffee with you every morning and try to check in on you before I go to sleep. I am sure the same sweetness in your blog attracts many other people too .. You are famous .. for your kindness and the pups and the village and the neighbors and your terrible taste in tv shows :)
Reading this blog is the first thing I do every morning, and it makes my day. Whatever you do in the future blog-wise I hope we will always be able to read about your take on life.
Looking forward to seeing Mary - there will be a world-wide Aaaah when we see her for the first time ! Maybe even a few tears shed in memory of Meg.... 200 miles seems a long way to go for a dog, but two years ago we drove a round trip of over 3,000 kilometres to pick up the most gorgeous retired breeding Labrador from a kennel near Geneva. Crazy, I know, and a long, long, way to go, but well worth the expense and effort !
Reading your blog every day has been and will continue to be a joy, dear John. And look at your followers! You'll be up to a thousand of 'em by the end of the year. XXX
Well done John.....the page views - well, you have us laughing and crying on a daily basis, life is never dull with you around. And going to get Mary - all us readers can hardly wait, so can't imagine how you're doing!
Yes thank you John. After a long working day, as soon as I'm horizontal, it's so nice to be transported back to the old dart for a glimpse of John's world.
Well done John! What will you do with the stat info? I think you should have a T-shirt printed with it and wear it to your next talk on writing a blog! I can't wait to meet Mary! x
Of course you have that many readers. I look forward to your posts every day. No other blog has given me so much in laughter, tears and thoughtful stories. Thank you. We all wait for Sunday, photos and lots of puppy reports.
Well done, Sir - though it's not quite THAT surprising given the nature and quality of your blog. And I'm still inching my way towards my first 100,000 despite my blog being older than yours (Despite your injunction we've ALL now had a look at our own.) Not that I'm in the least bit jealous, oh no! ;-)
Yeah but I often only come in to make cynical remarks and cutting asides, so I don't think those visits should count on the plus side of the numbers. Don't get too big for your crocs (or slippers of sex) (:))
In the queue of readers waiting to see the first pictures of Mary ☺️
