The 2015 Flower Show
I've posted a few photos of today's show.....and now I am off to lie down..... More info tomorrow
Suffice to say thank you to everyone who helped organise it, entered it and supported it.......
Thank you x
Wonderful! The cakes alone were amazing as well as everything else. I bet everyone had a grand time. Look forward to your next post but you certainly need a rest right now.
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful ! All the lovely flowers, So wonderful. The table baked goods, fabulous. The bunting looks great. I had a wildfire 20 minutes from my home. It is hot here with not much blooming but the barrel cactus and prickly pear pod ripening with the the summer monsoons ! So all the flowers look so beautiful to me.
Everything looks beautiful and it looks like it was a huge success! Love the bunting. I wish we had something like that here. The county and state fairs have similar entries like that, but I am sure it is not the same as your flower shows. Looking forward to the full scoop!
It looks wonderful. The flowers are unbelievable. It is 104 degrees here and not much of anything worth looking at. My tom turkey died from heat yesterday and the deer finished off what was left of my tomatoes. What wonderful weather you must have there to have such gorgeous flowers.
Great pictures! We watched The Caledar Girls the other day as a warm up for the Flower Show (Yorshire is far away from Wales I know but closer culturally than from here) Surely none of those cakes would ever be from M&S?
The flowers are beautiful. Wish I could have sent a shot. Nice to see Auntie Gladys, she is one classy dame. Cute posies on the tables. Wow, all the baked goodies!
Congratulations, it looks beautiful. Auntie Gladys looks more put together at 96 than I ever have in my whole life. They don't make 'em like they used to, eh? Enjoy your well-deserved rest.
Fabulous turnout and everything looks extremely well organised. To avoid a soggy bottom give it little pricks all over then bake it for 15 minutes without the filling then give it a little wash with some beaten egg, bake for another 5 minutes then add the filling and bake for allotted time. Always put a baking sheet underneath the Quiche tin and make sure it is tin that you use. Glass or porcelain will induce sogginess!
It all looks amazing. I love the hydrangea heads like that - they go from an ubiquitous hedge flower to a magical, perfect flower just by being vased like that. xo
The flowers are lovely and the edibles look deliciously tempting. Fantastic!
