Well Guns seem to have got emotions running somewhat high, and so I shall change the subject with something I saw this morning.
As I was passing Big Mary and Gay Gordon's bungalow I noticed that their usual Welsh Welsh flag which is usually flying from their own flag pole had been replaced .
WTF?
They are going to take over the village!
ReplyDeleteooerrr!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust when you think you know people...
ReplyDeleteHells Bells, there is another flag I've got to buy before they ban it here in America! I'm sure it would offend someone!!
ReplyDeleteI admit I would prefer the Pirate Party over the Tea Party any day of the week here :)
DeleteI agree MissFifi!
DeleteInternational "Talk Like a Pirate Day" is coming up on September 19 (don't ask me how I know that), so maybe Gordon and Mary are just getting an early start. Google it, it's a fun story.
ReplyDeleteI think some needs a parley about the skull and crossbones....
ReplyDeleteBy the looks of it Mary and Osama bin Gordon may have joined The Islamic State. Trelawnyd Village Hall could easily be converted into a mosque. Just stick a massive papier mache onion on top.
ReplyDeletewould LOVE to hear the story behind this!
ReplyDeleteIt is somewhat in advance of September 19th but never too early to hoist the Jolly Roger.
ReplyDeletearrrrrrrrrrrrr, I posted with out reading your comment.
DeleteDo you have a parrot ?
cheers, parsnip
John tell them it is too early.
ReplyDelete"Talk like a Pirate Day" is 19 September in America.
arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr me mateys !
cheers, parsnip
They probably raised it to get people talking, in which case they have succeeded haven't they - on your blog it has gone global.
ReplyDeleteYou don't live anywhere near Penzance, do you?
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteQ: Where do pirates go when they want to have fun?
ReplyDeleteA: To the pARRRRk! (OR Trrrrrrrelawnyd!)
That's priceless. Do tell us the backstory. Perhaps there are grandchildren involved, or an old family joke being played out.
ReplyDeleteNope just mad as a box of frogs
DeleteWhatever is going on, there's sure to be a fun story behind it!
ReplyDeleteThey must be planning on boarding and taking over.
ReplyDeleteThat certainly lightens the mood in a macabre sort of way! I love their humor.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those! Love it!
Of course we want to know more.... And here we were... driving through the very upper northeast of Maine yesterday and came across a Confederate flag ( a HUGE one) flying on a post near a house. Of course we were wondering... what the heck? ..... your skull and crossbones would be the same reaction... WTF?
ReplyDeleteA Jolly Roger with an eye patch, that's a new one on me.
ReplyDeleteDo they have a naval connection? We must be pushing the anniversary of the date in 2014 when British submarines, beginning with HMS E9, started to use Jolly Rogers
I really shouldn't comment on blogs in the sleepless wee small hours ... 1914 is of course what I meant.
DeleteI love a Jolly Roger flag...but I only fly mine on Halloween. However, now that its been pointed out that Sept. 19th is talk like a pirate day, (who knew?) I shall pull it out early and fly it proudly! Arrrrrrr! X
ReplyDeleteThat is off, going from a national flag to a pirates. They're going through something, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteMay, or may not, be involved with an amateur radio competition, the Flagpole Contest, to be run on Talk like a Pirate day, the 19th of September. On that day ham radio operators will use flagpoles as aerial supports for their radio set ups and get extra points for talking like pirates as they make contacts. Yes, my hubby is a geek and it
ReplyDeleteis scary that I knew about this. :)
The pirates have landed in Trelawnyd ;-)
