1970s Art

This is my favourite movie poster of all time
I had the original on my wall all throughout my childhood
Love the fact that a fan has given the " dead" a 1970s twist

  1. Completely off topic, and I am sure you are more than over it all, but can you post a picture of the winning blog veg entry. Just so we know what we are up against for next year?? :)

  2. Mad Magazine did a hilarious satire on it called, "The Poopside Down Adventure." It was a long time ago.

  5. One of my favorite films from the 70s! I wish I had that poster in my room back then. Rogo to Linda: Where the hell have you been? Linda to Rogo: Where do you think? Sliding around on my ass like everybody else!

  6. I've seen numerous Poseidon posters but have never seen this particular one. Very dramatic!

  8. Is that why your blog address is disasterfilm dot blogspot??

The 70's were rife with disaster films, weren't they? Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, Airport ...

  9. My bedroom wall in the 70s just had the three Davids .... Bowie, Essex and Cassidy no film posters for me, although a few years earlier I used to collect the American super heroes 'comics' ... if only I'd kept my original Batman and Spidermans :-)

No film posters for me in the 70’s, I was in an 'arty' phase! My posters were Sarah Bernhardt, Toulouse Lautrec prints, Le Chat Noir adverts etc.
What could be seen of my bedroom walls was lime green paisley patterned and the ceiling was lilac.......my parents must have despaired!
Sue, I was a huge Cassidy fan, Essex was a bit of alright, but Bowie, no, no, no those eyes were far too scary for me!
Now of course, I find Bowie to be 'sex on legs' but then, nope!

    2. My bedroom wall had a poster of Romeo and Juliet (from the film with Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey) and Bobby Orr (my favourite hockey player).
