Sigh

It was too late to pick the dogs up as it was past eleven when I left the railway station!
So The cottage was practically deserted when I finally got home.
But I was bloody right about Albert
Two sets of rodent intestines were laid out on the living room floor
And for some strange reason there was a cat turd in the bath!
Nice to be home!

Albert was probably saving the real prizes - the headless baby bunnies - for you.

  6. I bet it was very quiet without the dogs . A house without its dogs always seem's empty. Have you checked your snail mail? Xx

  7. Clearly you don't appreciate how hard it is to buy good gifts when you're a cat :)

  8. You have to think like a cat, John. The body parts were from gifts that he brought in for you. He got tired of waiting and devoured most of it.
And...he pooped in your tub to help you find your way back. You were gone too long for his liking and he thought you might be lost so he left his 'best' scent in a place that holds 'your' scent. I'm telling you, it's how they think. He's happy to have you back, I'm sure. Deb

  9. Cats are funny little creatures. Albert was probably pissed a tad for being left alone. They do hold grudges you know, and he probably did the @ in the tub for spite. My little prisspot Gracie will start crying in the early mornings if I haven't clean out one little pee that she did in her littler box. I get out of bed to clean out one scoop of clumped pee and then she will go about doing her business! I am so well trained! Welcome back home! …And, I do agree with Deb. He missed you and wanted you home!

  16. Most house sitters leave a pint of milk and a loaf of bread. Albert has clearly misunderstood that tradition.

  17. I've got a cat who frequently uses our bath as her own personal toilet. I can only think she mistakes the rectangular bathmat as a litter tray. Either that or she can't be arsed to go downstairs and out the catflap, which is probably far more likely!

  18. Ha! That was Albert's way of welcoming you back. :)

  22. I once babysitted a cat for someone who used the bathtub as his toilet all the time! I was very glad when he went home! :)

LOL, realised that first sentence gives the wrong impression but was too funny to fix. :)
