The Prof likes to treat me on my birthday, but I have to be firm that we do things I want to do
rather than things HE wants to do
Shopping is NOT my idea of fun
Anyhow tomorrow we are going to Liverpool tomorrow!
I have insisted that we go and see the latest Juliet Binoche arty movie ( only showing over the border)
( he's agreed through gritted teeth)
then we will have a bite to eat,
After that I know we will have a mooch around John Lewis ( ok you HAVE to compromise don't you?)
Tomorrow night we will go and see my twin sister with a cake!
Fifty fucking three!
I'll be half a century old plus three
Hey, f&cking Ho!
Good thing about being 53 is, it's not 63! Happiest of Birthdays to you, silly old bat! xxx
ReplyDelete"Happy Birthday, John from an older Gemini. :))"
ReplyDelete53? Oh please, John. A mere child.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day and Happy Birthday.
Ah. Marriage involves compromise, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you are yet a child.
Best wishes for the day from down under.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gill, Andrew, moon ms, Marty, Deb and Old Nana
DeleteHappy birthday.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to vbe a great year. I've heard good things about 53... although I think that might be how old Jerry Garcia and Frank Zappa both were when they died. It's almost as bad as 27 is for rock stars.
But we're not rock stars.
Happy birthday anyway.
Lol......thanks ...i think x
DeleteA mere child indeed - how do you think I feel - you are four months younger than my oldest child :)
ReplyDeleteHeres another Happy Birthday winging it's way up to you from Down Under.
Cathy
Gawd!
DeleteHappy Birthday for tomorrow, John and Janet. Who was born first?

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday xx
Much love to you on your birthday John ……. wishing you a brilliant day. XXXX
ReplyDeleteYou're not getting old, you're merely well seasoned - - and seasoned is sexy.
ReplyDeleteI stopped remembering my birthdays somewhere around age 45. The only thing that reminds me is when I look in a mirror - - and then I scream like Baby Jane Hudson.
Have a great birthday, John!
Happy Birthday, John, and many more! Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteNice cupcake.
ReplyDeleteI turned 56 last week. I look fabulous and so do you.
Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday from an older fart.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, to you. Please knock off the old business. My oldest daughter turns fifty this year; think how old that makes me (feel).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. And I too am older than you.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you have a great day. I remember 53 well. I only had two more years and I could retire! I don't know why, but after 50 everything starts going fast forward!! xx
ReplyDeleteI am 65 now, but 53 was a very good year for me. Many great things happened. I discovered that there was still a lot of life left in the old boy and lots of life left to live. May you have a happy day, happy year, happy future!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday John, it's 9:00 on the 31st still here so I'm still three hours away from my birthday. I'll be 55 you young whipper snapper!
ReplyDeleteBirthday celebrations will be a walk along the side of the Chesapeake bay followed by a trip to a garden centre to fill in holes in the garden planting. Lunch at a local restaurant called Smoke that I've never been to but I'm told serves all smoked meats etc. Cake in the afternoon then I'm cooking in the evening, just don't know what yet. Hope your day is every bit as good.
Say hello to Liverpuddle land! I met my wife there and spent most of the 1980's there. Good times!
Happy happy birthday, John!!! XO
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, John. Seems like you just turned 50 - time is moving faster now, isn't it? Enjoy your day with Chris!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday John xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday :):):)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday :):):)
ReplyDeleteDon't sweat the in-between years; it is the ones that are divisible by 10 that are the real shockers. Happy Birthday, John and enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS! Big hugs to you from both of us!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first poster to the second. Merle never floated my boat but Daryl can shoot me anytime!

ReplyDeleteThink of all you have done in the last 30 years....The average life expectancy of a 53 year old male is 30 MORE years! You are just beginning! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteStick a candle in a Scotch egg and make a wish!!! Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDelete53 is fabulous! Wishing you a wonderful birthday John. X
ReplyDeleteBest of birthdays to you, John!
ReplyDeleteYou're just a youngster; 53 is the new Grey. x
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday John! May it be memorable, for all the right reasons. My son turned 35 today - his first birthday as a dad, and memorable for that. His 8 week old son gave him a present - he pooped all down the front of his clean tee-shirt!! And Matt is so besotted he didn't mind one little bit! So may your birthday presents be to your liking too!!
ReplyDeleteOnly 53? I will be 60 next month, so this morning I am flying off to Menorca for a few weeks to ease me gently into my seventh decade! Have a very happy first birthday as a married man xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! One year closer to retirement!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday John. X
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday John - your day out sounds like a happy compromise, a little John Lewis and a lot of Juliette Binoche is the way to go! xoxxo

ReplyDeleteTwiggy xxxx
Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteBelated happy birthday. I have been known to hijack my husband's birthday day-out too, but now we are getting more geriatric, the fallback provision is always Hay-on-Wye if the weather is awful (which as a November lad, it usually is).
ReplyDeleteI bet you had a ball, compromises notwithstanding! My hubs didn't want to do anything for his birthday this year. He went to work! He has to take my birthday off though. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fab day and enjoyed the movie and the cake.
Lisa x
