I can empathise with that philosophy. I was glad about Ireland too John. Went round Benjamin Britten's House in Aldebrough last week. There were letters on show which Pears and Britten exchanged. I found them far too personal and private and thought that both Britten and Pears would have disapproved of them being on show. My son, on the other hand, found them very moving when he saw them in a TV Documentary on Britten's life - I suppose it is all a matter of opinion. Nice to be back by the way.
How is Phyllis and Max getting on now? And George? How is he?
