" What's that poking out of your trousers?"

With only a month to go until the wedding. Chris is beginning to worry just a little about how I am going to look like on the day!....I can understand the fact.
Yesterday was a case in point.
I was walking across the railway bridge in Prestatyn yesterday morning when I spied two female joggers just about to bounce up the steps in front of me. One of the women was a girl I know well. she is a lively, overactive character called Sharon who I have worked with for the past nine years and as she jogged up to be with her big breasts bouncing she yelled out her usual greeting of " Hello JG!"
She gave me a brief hug and as both girls continued up the stairs Sharon turned and called to her friend
" He's lovely, even if he wears his pyjamas under his trousers !"
I looked down.....and yeah she was right.....a couple of inches of stripy pyjamas were poking out of the legs of my combats.
So I can see where Chris is coming from......on Sunday I will go and get my dinner jacket for the wedding. This is the one I shall be buying

And I am sure that if I was to stand next to this Marks and Spencer's model, we would look like twins
Yeah..................right.........

  3. If you became an immaculate dresser you wouldn't be you you'd be Trelawnyd's answer to Gok Wan and kids would begin to yell at you in the street - "Tosser!". You wouldn't want that.

  7. On the big day I shall expect a photograph of the two of you. One of you I am certain will look immaculate - need proof on the day that the other one will follow suit!

  8. one hour before the wedding, ask chris to give you the "once over" look. I am sure you will pass inspection and be as handsome as ever.

  10. Sounds like Chris is not the only fashion-nervous one in this ceremonial insurrection. All my best to you both --and it's useless, I suppose, to tell you not to be jittery.

  14. Will you spend the night before your wedding apart, as is the normal custom? Or, will Chris get the chance to give you the once over before its too late and you are standing next to him? I think you will look grand..cant wait to see photos. What date in March is it?

    1. Francis,
Chris will spend the night before at his friends house in snowdonia, then he and she will be going to a very posh spa on the day of the wedding for treatments and champagne

I will be spending the night before on my own with the dogs but then will meet up with my friends before the ceremony the next day

  31. Just one thing ….. don't forget to remove all of the labels off of the suit John. When we were last in Italy we were in a cafĂ© next to the local registry office and the groom { English } was having a little drink to calm his nerves and my friend and I had to tell him that he'd left the cardboard size label on the cuff and a couple of those plastic thingy's that hold the labels on were sticking out from his neck !!!! There are ' John's ' all over the world !! XXXX

  32. You will look better than this fella, John! Love the jacket!

  35. You'll look more dashing than the model, especially if you have the bow tie on straight.

I can't believe it's about a month away! So excited for you two, and yes, please may we see a photo of the two of you all dressed up?

  37. I see there are already a number of your fans who are going to be looking for that tell-tale striped flannel peek-a-booing out the bottom of your wedding trousers. (Wedding trousers?) Please don't disappoint us.

  38. At my Son's recent wedding he remarked that for two country bumpkins his Dad and I scrubbed up well . I suppose he had a point as we are usually dressed in very old clothes around the house and garden . I am sure you will look exceedingly smart on the day .

  39. I am sure you will be absolutely debonair in your dinner jacket, not to mention downright gorgeous -- however, pajamas would make a very interesting statement, dontcha think?

  40. Chris is marrying you…not the clothes ya big twit! I bet those jammies will make you feel more comfy so go for the layered look.

  45. They say clothes make the man. I'm not sure if that's a true thing, but clothes can certainly raise one's look a notch or two. I think you will look quite spiffy in that jacket. Make sure you sticky-roller your pants for dog/cat hair just before you leave home!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sounds like you'll be in 'commando' mode if you don't get anything to match that dinner jacket otherwise your guests will all be shaken, not stirred!I'm trusting you'll be buying the 'troosers' as well??!!You'll be 007 in that suit and remember, diamonds are forever.x

You'll be fine, you scrub up well - I bet he would marry you if you turned up in your pyjamas anyway.

  48. I just can't imagine you in a suit and bow-tie. Does not compute. I look forward to the astonishingly posh wedding photos. But I somehow expect the inevitable JG-ism like a crooked bow-tie or a hankie dangling from one of the sleeves....

    ReplyDelete
  49. He will love you anyway. jenny_o is right about the sticky-roller though.
