Sasha and Maggie have got all depressed,
Daryl has his cry face on
There are only feral dogs to eat
and " Team Rick" are having a bloody awful time out on the road.
But it was nice to see Lauren Cohen as the usually upbeat Maggie
flex her acting wings
The Walking Dead needs a little lightness injecting into it, just for one
episode.......producers please note........please lets have at least 4 smiles and perhaps one chuckle!
Ok the world has gone to shit,
But at we all need a little vacation from reality occasionally!
Light and shade...light and shade
Mind you the final few minutes of the episode had the tired and demoralized team working together
as one to survive the zombie herd in a wonderfully bravura sequence during a tornado before the smiling upbeat gay character of
Aaron turned up, in a beautifully clean outfit
and a smile bigger than Donnie Osmond
Aaron ( personal grooming IS possible during the apocalypse
I am the first.
ReplyDeleteIthink we have it here too in our tv may be I shall watch it just to undrestand what is all about ,
Sorry Yael.......this will go on for a further 6 weeks until the series ends xxx
DeleteA good episode all in all, and now the intrigue of the stranger at the end - roll on next week.
ReplyDeleteI did like the visual methophor of team Rick walking very slowly in front of the following walking dead on the long road
DeleteYes, that was good and then he said in the barn, 'we are the walking dead'. I thought the shot near the end was good with the guns being brandished against the backdrop of the sunrise and the musical box in the foreground.
DeleteMy mother's funeral -
ReplyDeleteThe vicar: "Where there is death, there is hope."
My father: "Don't you bloody believe it!"
(Father restrained from hitting the vicar by surrounding children. A humorous moment).
Thought of you today, John, when i saw this - http://flaunt.com/people/norman-reedus/ dang. Lets all stare together now...
ReplyDeletexoxo
He looks good in a white suit
DeleteI got engrossed in Downton Abbey and forgot all about the Walking Dead last night! The program should be on On Demand! I will have to catch that episode on the next marathon.
ReplyDeleteIt's back? Oh geez, where's my Netflix account??
ReplyDeleteGood episode. A bit slow, kind of lost the frenetic pace of previous episodes but upon reflection, it fits with the theme of the episode, the fact that they are worn out, worn down...
ReplyDeleteI kinda liked this episode even though it was a bit slow. Maggie's emotional state makes me wonder if they are not planning on keeping Glenn around for the entire show though.
ReplyDeleteIn the comic books the new Aaron character leads em to the Alexandria safe zone community which has it's secrets and such but they eventually settle in and Rick becomes the community cop. The previews for next week looked like someone was setting a trap for them though so who knows how the series will portray it in the end. I think it is about this time that they discover the walkers are communicating with themselves and starting to form the three basic types of walkers, roamers and lurkers.
If they follow the storyline though then the series will start taking a different turn now that they are at Alexandria. There will be more politics and group intrigue and much larger fights ending with small armies eventually.
I am not a fan of Robert kirkmans ideas and writing....so I do hope the story moves away on its own
Deletethat fresh meat looks like perfect zombie fodder to me!
ReplyDelete' Aaron ( personal grooming IS possible during the apocalypse '
ReplyDeleteChris will be so relieved to hear this ;-)
Dagnabbit, just now finished the second season!
ReplyDeleteOh well, I'll have forgotten all the spoilers by the time we get there.
I liked how it went with everyone demoralized and Daryl saying "we are NOT dead." He was the first to throw himself against the door and then one by one each member joined him.
ReplyDeleteI had a "WTF?" moment with Aaron showing up so clean and fresh. Not a smudge on him. THAT would be the question I would have for him. Where the freak is the bathroon and laundry???
This does definitely not sound like my kind of programme!
ReplyDeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteI haven't made it to this episode yet.
We're trying to get caught up. Never watched this program. Just recently received DVD's of the first 3 series, just finished the 4th and now were working on the 5th. This program is addictive!!!!
I worry that the governor was cleaned up too.
